I've visited Nazaré twice.. both times the waves were as big as that of my nieces blow up pool.. Still, this is one of my favorite places on planet Earth. This place reeks of these legendary waves.. Talk to the locals about it in the coffee shops and restaurants, what a buzz. Love Portugal, and Nazaré even more!

Me too! the same experience, same feeling! Been there a week ago, can't get it out of my mind, a magic place to be!
You have to go there in between November and February . During the other months the waves are more or less "normal" with an max high of maybe up to 5meters. Two weeks ago they were only 0,5m to 1meter. But even in winter time there is not always a guarantee of really big waves.

Probably no more than 10-12 meters I would reckon. After all it needs to be very shallow in order to produce massive waves.
I always dream to travel nazare at least once in my life. But unfortunately it’s hard to get visa from my native country 🇧🇩. 😢
