I was thinking that I might put a sheet of felt on the bottom so that it sat and slid a little nicer on my coffee table, and the bottom would look finished. And I agree with you - I really like the multiple tones of rafia! If someone wanted to get REAL fancy, Joanne's has rafia in different shades (like green, gold, burgundy) as well!

I have made your stand using the lid before and when cleaning my craft room I came across the bottoms and thought what can I do with these. Literally the next day Sara Jane’s video came up. I have the cake plate & really had not decided what I wanted to do except make a tray with it. My Dollar Tree hasn't had the ceramic candle holder but now I have to keep watching for it. One of these days it will be there LOL.
I have never seen the candle holders in stores either. I had to order 40 of them online! I didn't keep them all though and was able to exchange them for other items. The DT manager told me not all stores allow exchanges for online orders so if you are thinking about online ordering I would ask your local store manager if you they allow exchanges for online orders.
