I think you got the wrong idea. I’m telling here that erza is an overpowered character (plot armor/power of friendship). I didn’t say anything about mira jane being weak compared to erza. Actually, she’s my fave character in the series because of her behind the scene character development and of course, her unique, terrifying but powerful magic. With her power, she can easily wipe the floor with her enemies/rivalries w/o breaking a sweat.

Her second form, Demon Halphas, is so powerful that Master Makarov forbid her from using it inside the city since she could easily destroy it. She debuts it against Racer. Her third form...I don't remember what it's called but it has a brief appearance in her battle against Jenny in the Grand Magic Tournament and another one during the latter stages of that Arc.

In the past the younger sister died and both Elfman and Mirajane never used their powers again. Freed in this vid basically goaded Mirajane into transforming, which was a mistake on his part.

Plus, Halphas was banned by Makarov when she destroyed a city with it. Then, there's Sitri, which is faster and stronger than Halphas. Then, there's Seilah, who can use Macro to control people and has a demon form of its own once the limiter is released. Then, we have Alegria, which can dry up oceans and seas just from being summoned and its attack is like a nuclear explosion. Erza's armor always breaks apart, plus her fastest armor couldn't keep up with Racer, someone who Mira outsped and defeated without even using magic. Nakagami is Erza's strongest armor, but its not fast and Mira can outspeed her and nail her before Erza can even defend herself. Then, there's the obvious; Mira can use Seilah to make Erza end herself with Macro.

To be fair, it was Laxus that forced him into this. Since Freed obviously looks up to Laxus a lot (even has a slight crush on him), he listened to whatever he wanted him to do even if that meant he would go against his guild members since Laxus made him believe the guild was in the wrong. He did realise in the end that not only he, but the entire Thunder legion went too far.

Plus, Halphas is stronger than a lot of her Satan Soul forms and can destroy an entire city in 1 blast. Erza has yet to match that level of destruction. Mira's base form's Soul Extinction reflected over all of Magnolia in this fight and Alegria, damn. Dried up half the sea just from being summoned & then when she struck, she caused a nuclear looking explosion. Erza would get her ass handed to her in a real fight with Mira. But because she's a main, she gets bullshit boosts & overhyped. IDC, my opinion. Mira would whoop Erza.
