It wasn't just Lucius naming other death eaters that helped keep his family out of Azkaban. It was also the fact that Narcissa had lied to Voldemort about Harry being dead in the woods. Without that lie, Voldemort (or some Death Eater) would have certainly tried to kill him again and with one Horcrux still remaining Harry wouldn't be able to beat him.
Nope this is wrong…. Lucius WAS sent to Azkaban while all the other people in the family got away free… his wife gave names and other info and his son Malfoy was considered young enough to change his ways and he had been afraid for his life as he hadn’t had much choice… he mostly loved out his days with his muggle wife till she died after having his son… he loved of his family’s fortune so he never did much with his life except maybe to teach his own son to be better than he had been
I assume after they were outed as Voldemort's lackeys, Lucius and Narcissa while they still lived comfortably with their wealth and property, they were no longer welcome in polite society. This may explain why they take every opportunity to go see Draco and Scorpius, because all of their old circle of friends are either dead, in prison or want no association with them. Meaning for most days they only have each other for company, which I imagine must get pretty boring at times.
I imagine the fall from grace that they experienced was probably the stiffest price they could pay as I doubt prison would have mattered much to them. I like to think Narcussa reconnected with Andromeda and developed a bond with her great nephew Teddy. I think Draco would be closer to Andromeda though - they have similarities in the way they both chose love with partners that their families disapproved of, and she would have brought out a fun side of Draco.
A theory I've come with is about Nagini. She is a maledictus. Her blood curse is passed down through the woman of her family. But who cursed her. I believe a twist could be that Salazar cursed a woman to be Maleditus and after the curse became permanent, they become servants to the Heir of Slytherin. It would explain why Voldemort had such affection for her. She was his birthright, a pet, his destiny and he had what some might describe as love for her.
Personal head Canon. After everything settled and Draco met/married his wife Astoria (I think) he had an argument with his parents, mostly Lucius, about their treatment of her. He left. Narcissa realized she'd lose her son and turned on her husband threatening him that he either accept Astoria or she'd leave him because she'd lost enough to the pure blood nonsense and didn't want to lose her only child and possibly any grandchildren.
Fleur actually met Bill at Hogwarts while the family’s were meeting. They didn’t speak to each other at the time but I think Fleur purposefully took up a job at gringotts so she could pursue him.

In the book, the signature appeal of magical folk are robes and pointy hats, but in the movies, they just started wearing more fashionable clothes. Look at the young dumbledore; he is wearing a suit.
I'm going to present a counter-theory on what happened with Rita. After the fall of ol' No Nose, Rita was pretty much blacklisted and couldn't find work in the Wizarding World and so left it to live in the Muggle world. There, she changed her name and wrote a series of highly successful children's books detailing events from the Wizarding World with some variation such as dates and names.

I always side eyed others when they tried to redeem Narcissa after the battle of Hogwarts lol. She chose to stand by Lucius and never questioned his status as a death eater. I don’t think she was scared of retaliation, given that she also shared the same beliefs as Lucius and her sister Bellatrix.
I think that rather than stand by Lucius, she chose to stand by quietly to protect her only child, Draco, as we see in Half Blood Prince when she and Bellatrix seek Snape's protection for the boy, and in Deathly Hallows, where she lies to Voldemort that Harry's dead. i genuinely have so many reasons for defending Draco, as someone who was bullied in school for MANY years, he clearly didn’t have a choice. If he did, he didn’t know it or how to act on it. His dad always taught him to “be the best”, and that’s just what he tried to do - impress his studious father. after the war, with Astoria and his son, he definitely shows his respect to Harry, the golden trio and everyone else by raising his son to a good, soulful person.
I like to think Narcissa didn't leave in shame but truly wanted nothing to so with the fight because she wasn't as much of a voldemort supporter as the rest of them
According to the book, Dean Thomas blood status wasn't clear, because his father left the family early. That was the reason, he had to escape from home and Hogwarts, when Voldemort came to power. He had no proof for his father beeing a wizard.
Yes!! Plus, throughout the books we hear about how Ron doesn’t understand Dean’s love of football (soccer for me) and his stationary posters. So whether he was completely Muggle born or half blood, he was raised like a Muggle born.
I think you should look at how things played out in the books over thing that happened in the movies. The movies changed things (and many times not for the better ie: Voldermort's death scene). In the books the Malfoy's didn't flee the battle. They were seen running into the Great Hall screaming for Draco not even attempting to fight. After Voldermort's death they were sitting in the Great Hall looking like they were unsure if they should be there or not. Seamus Finnigian wasn't a "pyrotechnics expert" in the books, that was just added to the movies for some comic relief.
This is one of the reasons I have a problem with some of @Harry Potter Theory's videos, he likes to mix the books and the movies, as if if the movies don't contradict the books, or if they expand on something from the books, then it's canon, which isn't the case. I think in the books Parvati Patel was killed at the battle of Hogwarts. I'm sure it mentioned that her sister and Trelawny were knelt down crying over her and Lavender Browns bodies.
Dean Thomas often helped the Weasley twins in their "candy" research in the Gryffindor common room. After the end of film 8, it's possible he joined George in the joke shop.
I think the Malfoys lived separate lives afterwards, whether divorced legally...or by silent agreement. The ONE thing Narcissa (RIP!) did not tolerate was having Draco put in danger (or even criticized, actually) which Lucius did by being involved with Voldemort. Id say she'd find that unforgivable. Also, what "names of Death eaters " are left when they all participated in the seige on Hogwarts? Any one NOT participating would have turned their back on Voldemort to the point of a death sentence...and in deep hiding. The ONLY thing Lucius could do is verify the CHARGES against particular individuals.
Actually according to J.K they lived a happy life and basically learned nothing after the war as they disliked their daughter in law because she didn’t want uphold their outdated beliefs
About Alberforth's thing with goats. We're given a clue as to what this truly is about in the Deathly Hallows. Al explains Ariana loved to tend to the goats with him. So yeah. She had a seizure and he took the blame for her.
The books make it clear that Dean Thomas does not know whether he is Muggle born or a half blood. But, he was definitely raised by his Muggle mother. He never knew his father.
I just finished watching the second instalment of “Fantastic Beasts and where to find them”. And proceeded to binge watch your videos, but I am now fairly confused. You say in this video that Professor Mcgonagall were born 1935, but in the fantastic beasts movie she is seen as a professor in the movie which is around 1925? And she was even included in a flashback from when Newt were attending Hogwarts which must be like 10 years earlier. I might be totally missing something here so if anyone knows, please fill me in.
@@LittleHammer_ I thought so as well, but in the new movie “Secrets of Dumbledore”, she is referred to as Minerva. Must’ve been a mistake from the writers in an attempt to include more characters that existed in the Harry Potter era.
@@HydraValorant oh yea definitely a continuity issue then. I'm sure it was done for reasons you said too because it's not hard to do some background checking n making sure all the characters are supposed to be in that specific timeline
I’d love to know what happened to The rest of the Death eaters & those in the Ministry of magic that sided with Umbridge in torturing witches & wizards during the Voldemort reign in the MoM
Umbridge was sentenced to life in prison in Azkaban for working alongside death eaters, if i remember correct she claimed she had no idea that all of her colleagues and even minister at that point worked for the dark lord, but given her open hostility towards half humans, half bloods, muggleborns, and that many of the anti muggleborn and halfblood laws was created by her, the new ministerium of magic saw no proof of her words and accused her of lying (ironically) and she was sentenced to Azkaban for the rest of her life along side most of the death eaters who was caught alive and didn't die fighting against the aurors after Voldemorts death.
Honestly; not to be funny or anything, but probably similar to what happend to the Nazi's after World War II. Face persecution and punishment equal to their level of involvment with Voldemort
Dumbledore somehow managed to let the Centaurs free Umbridge, but it is not disclosed in the text what happened to Umbridge before Dumbledore came to the rescue.
I have a question about after the battle of Hogwarts like how was the destruction of Hogwarts repaired and who accomplished the feat? How many people/witches and wizards did it take?
@Kris P Bacon Filch could clean, but rebuild? Dumbledore would’ve been best, but since he was dead, the magical staff members would’ve been able to put it back together in a few days/weeks. There would’ve been any number of parents/students and others (Order of the Phoenix?) who defended Hogwarts available to get together to help.
I have one that may have you thinking she only appeared once in the films vary early on and had no lines during the sorting hat in the the first film Susan Bones who was sorted into hufflpuf
In the one of the books I read, it said that Dean Thomas was muggle born, not half blood, because he himself said that both of his parents were muggles
I wish I could know about Colin creavy's brother Dennis creavy... did he go back to Hogwarts or associate with the magical world after his brother's death
One thing to mention about McGonagall. Look closely at the case/award when Harry is informed about his father. The large emblem shows James Potter. Seeker. McGongall’s name is next to his father. M O McGonagall 71. So she was a teammate of James Potter on the Quidditch team- probably a chaser.
A bit of a mismatch in the timelines with the new film. Minerva seems to be a young teacher there that Dumbledore asks to cover for him. If those were set in the 1930s, Minerva would have been too young to be a student let alone a teacher.
@@HarryPotterTheory Perhaps you are correct, I will ponder that. I also think the Malfoy thing is interesting because their actions in the books are quite different from the films, its much easier from the book ending (with them having not left with their son and being in the Great Hall at the end)to see how they could have rehabilitated their image.
It would be "the families (plural of "family"). The word "family's" is the possessive form; for example: My family's home over the past decade has increased significantly in market value.
Serving the most power is an opportunist not a coward. He didnt show fear until his wife and child were in jeopardy. Voldemort was breaking him. He did too much and had too much power to simply be a coward.
Great, really fun video, the only suggestion I would make for future videos like this is when referring to specific people, who are still living, you should say "is" instead of "was". For instance instead of saying "Cormac Mclaggen was a British full-blood wizard" you should say "is", because "was" infers that they are dead. I may be nitpicking but it can be a bit confusing.
I like the theory that Abaforth took the blame for Ariana not being able to control her powers. So when she went off in a field of goats(or goat), Abaforth helped cover it up and said he hurt the goats. Other words he was innocent and was just protecting his sister
5:08 McGonagall Born in 1935 that is straight at the back end of a dragon because she was teaching at Hogwarts in 1910, any mathematician will tell you that a birth date of 1887 or 1888 is more likely which means that when Harry Hermione and Ron rocked up to Hogwarts She was already over 100.

One small error. Fleur met Bill Weasley long before she started working at Gringotts. He was the reason she wanted to "improve her English".
Very interesting theories. I liked it.
The wand chooses the wizard
Seamus’s wand* I’m gonna try and blow him up
Dean Thomas often helped the Weasley twins in their "candy" research in the Gryffindor common room. After the end of film 8, it's possible he joined George in the joke shop.
Ginny needs to be in part 4, as she is one of the important characters, I would also love to see Charlie Weasley, Teddy Lupin and Oliver Wood.
The ones in masks and separating those that were death eaters or with imperio charm
Actually according to J.K they lived a happy life and basically learned nothing after the war as they disliked their daughter in law because she didn’t want uphold their outdated beliefs
Cormack McLagen moved back in time and became a prince. (The actor played Prince Frederick in Brigerton)
I thought he teamed up with Peacemaker and became a superhero.
J.K really made the most prominent Irish student in Hogwarts, someone who blows stuff up. Margaret Thatcher would be proud.
Thatcher is somewhere between Skeeter and Umbridge.
@@CJ-im2uu she's somewhere between umbridge and Voldemort
It is said here that McGonacle was born in 1935 but she is in Fantastic Beasts The Crimes of Grindlewald that is set in the 1920s.
About Alberforth's thing with goats. We're given a clue as to what this truly is about in the Deathly Hallows. Al explains Ariana loved to tend to the goats with him.
So yeah. She had a seizure and he took the blame for her.
I would like to see arthur Weasley, Molly Weasley , Rosmerta, Trelawney,
And Arthur Weasley's car. It 's still roaming around the Forbidden Forest.
Buckbeak
Mrs Norris
Crookshanks
Pigwidgeon (the owl Sirius gave Ron)
I liked in 1 second cuz I knew this video was gonna be good before I watched two seconds of the video
Would really like to see a video on Veela or lycanthropy
They still haven't explained it. No one knows if it's supposed to be Harry's McGonagall or someone who had the same last name .
They just wanted a character we were familiar with. She hadn't been born yet.
Nah it's a relative of hers. It's the only rationale explanation
Dean Thomas moved to America, enrolled in law school, and was taught by Annalise Keating.
I could see Shamus make/design new fireworks for George and Ron or filibusters
yes, dean thomas joined the "performing arts" and starred in the tv show "How to get away with murder"
Lucius, "He Who Talks Walks", Malfoy.
Face persecution and punishment equal to their level of involvment with Voldemort
love the content man
McGonagall is straight up one of my favorite characters. She reminds me of one of my teachers.
I think it would be interesting to try and cover someone like Luna loovegood.
Luna got married to Newt Samanders Grandson Rolf.
Dean offered Harry to forge Uncle Vernon's Signature for the visit to Hogsmeade.
You should do a what if, Grindelwald became a Lich, prior to the rise of Voldemort.
I liked before I watched because I knew it'd be good ;) xx
Yo, did Umbridge get assaulted by the Centaurs when she was kidnapped by them?
Maybe
Dumbledore somehow managed to let the Centaurs free Umbridge, but it is not disclosed in the text what happened to Umbridge before Dumbledore came to the rescue.
Probably, if the centaurs in HP are in any way like the mythological centaurs we know about
I have a question about after the battle of Hogwarts like how was the destruction of Hogwarts repaired and who accomplished the feat? How many people/witches and wizards did it take?
I thought that then thought maybe the ministry as Kingsley was made minister of magic
Yeah i wonder that
@Kris P Bacon 😂😂
@Kris P Bacon Filch could clean, but rebuild? Dumbledore would’ve been best, but since he was dead, the magical staff members would’ve been able to put it back together in a few days/weeks. There would’ve been any number of parents/students and others (Order of the Phoenix?) who defended Hogwarts available to get together to help.
how was it rebuilt if it was destroyed by dark magic?
I have one that may have you thinking she only appeared once in the films vary early on and had no lines during the sorting hat in the the first film Susan Bones who was sorted into hufflpuf
In the one of the books I read, it said that Dean Thomas was muggle born, not half blood, because he himself said that both of his parents were muggles
I feel like this channel should be called Harry Potter Film Theory
Interesting. I'm waiting for the sequel.
I wish I could know about Colin creavy's brother Dennis creavy... did he go back to Hogwarts or associate with the magical world after his brother's death
Mcgonagle was at least 18 in Fantastic Beasts, so she must have been born before 1927
I like to think the Grawp acts as the last line of defense for Hogwarts security
I just really want to know where you get all this information 🥺
A Very Good Video 👍🏻
One thing to mention about McGonagall. Look closely at the case/award when Harry is informed about his father. The large emblem shows James Potter. Seeker. McGongall’s name is next to his father. M O McGonagall 71. So she was a teammate of James Potter on the Quidditch team- probably a chaser.
When he says MaM! 😂😂😂😂
I may be dumb here, but how is Aberforth a half-blood? His parents were a witch and wizard weren't they?
They were both magical but his mum was muggle born
@@isabellakeman2016 no she wasnt she was a witch too kendra
@@maryamnazir512 maybe I wasn't very clear, but I meant that both the parents were magical, but Kendra was muggle born
I think Harry might have told the ministry about what Narcissa did to give them that deal( to give up other deatheaters)
Bill and Fleur's daughter Victoire ended up marrying Teddy Tonks.
A bit of a mismatch in the timelines with the new film. Minerva seems to be a young teacher there that Dumbledore asks to cover for him. If those were set in the 1930s, Minerva would have been too young to be a student let alone a teacher.
thanks
I'm not sure I agree with you saying that SLughorn retired because of fear of Dumbledore finding out, I always saw it as shame of him finding out...
I think it was a little bit of both
@@HarryPotterTheory Perhaps you are correct, I will ponder that.
Oh cool a 3rd part
Serving the most power is an opportunist not a coward. He didnt show fear until his wife and child were in jeopardy. Voldemort was breaking him. He did too much and had too much power to simply be a coward.
Wait... GOATS?! Why is no one talking about this. I never knew this. 😭
Dean uncanonically followed a carear as a signature faker
He was taked by Aurors and sent to 3 minutes in azkaban
Loved it.
Lots of Irishmen have a knack for blowing things up
Na, everyone knows Dean Thomas later went to the muggle Philadelphia University to study law under Annalise
I like the theory that Abaforth took the blame for Ariana not being able to control her powers. So when she went off in a field of goats(or goat), Abaforth helped cover it up and said he hurt the goats. Other words he was innocent and was just protecting his sister
"emphasis was placed on her because she was the champion representing her school, bouboton"
The Irish wizard is a demolition expert... totally not a IRA joke
I thought the same thing!!!
Nor the colors in the clash of wands between Potter and Voldemort. Potter the Orange, Voldemort green. Draw your own inference.
@@jimreilly917 Harry’s was red not orange 🤦🏻♂️
5:08 McGonagall Born in 1935 that is straight at the back end of a dragon because she was teaching at Hogwarts in 1910, any mathematician will tell you that a birth date of 1887 or 1888 is more likely which means that when Harry Hermione and Ron rocked up to Hogwarts She was already over 100.
Her being born in 1935 came before... fantastic beasts...
