Nobody talks about Silver Shadow by Davidoff. I love the way it smells even though its longevity is weak. It has a very tender smell to it. I got it as a gift back in 2008 and I bought it again last week, still smells lovely.
Your choices are most unusual...I've never heard of the most of them. I am a confessed how shall we say, oh yes...."Baller on a Budget" and I have found that I can wear a clone of an expensive designer or niche frag with no shame. A few of those frags I have but I will definitely be copping the others on Ebay...thanks for the ideas. I heard the guy from "Gentlemen's Corner" say he layers Tuscan Leather and Aventus as his top winter frag. I found my T.L. clone in Rasasi La Yuqawam, and now, thanks to you, I have found my Aventus clone, Insurrection Pure 2. Yo son, its gonna be a smellgud winter!

+Kenneth Rose Try 2-3 sprays on around the house for a day. As it dries it gets way more appealing. I'm not sure but I get like a refined BRUT smell from it. I can wear it basically anywhere and it blends well. Just a few sprays out the door and it cools off by the time I make it to my destination. I especially like wearing it if I am going to be active (gym, etc...) since it smells like you just climbed out of the shower lol.
I did recently it's just not my thing right now. I will say one spray to the chest and your good the projection and longevity are killer with this one. I also get the refined brute smell your talking about as well. I think it's just way too linear for me and medicinal smelling may have to revisit later and maybe my nose may have matured more by then to appreciate it.

I bought it scent-unsmelled since you couldn't get it at a brick and mortar store anymore and just really didn't like it at first... heck, I almost re-sold it a few times. It sat in my collection for over a year without getting any use before I picked it up one day almost 2 years later and thought "Man, that smells amazing!" That's one of the big reasons I never get rid of my juices anymore. You never know what you might start liking... and heaven forbid it gets discontinued after you sell your bottle.

+Kenneth Rose I have three bottles of Carven Homme, lol. It's not a dead-ringer for the Envy, but it's like 90-95%. The Carven is just a *touch* sweeter with a little heavier musk? Cinnamon? Not sure... there is a spicy/herbal scent in it that is missing from the Gucci. I prefer the Carven for daily wear, but I prefer the Gucci when I am in a suit. Definitely well worth the purchase. The only thing I don't like about the Carven is that the supplies are starting to run-out. (Hence my three bottles, heh.) I have been buying one extra bottle every time I make my monthly cologne purchases. After you receive the Carven, let me know how your nose responds to it. It's hard buying colognes based off of TH-cam reviews (especially when so many mundane scents get hyped to hell and back...) I still remember buying Angel Men based off of a recommendation and the disappointment that followed that first smell. Seriously... to this day, A*Men still reminds me of the smell of utter disappointment. Should you not enjoy the Carven, shoot me a list of the colognes you have liked/disliked so far, and I will try to recommend a few economical frags that you might enjoy based off what you like so far.

Interesting list! I've tried to put some reviewers up on Mary Kay's High Intensity but they just won't bite for some reason. It's some what similar to Allure PH with a watery note in there. A definite blind buy for like 15-20 bucks! If you blind buy and happen not to like it I will PAYPAL you your money back! For real.

Jacob, I agree with you, this one is a good juice for the price. I have been using MKHI for several years. Currently own a bottle which is at 50%. I enjoy the dry down which on my skin turns into something similar to D&G the one.
Good review, but City Tower it's garbage. I'm going to tell you in a secret you wear City Tower and you never get laid. I spray it on my hand and women were running for cover. This is a scent for guys to wear and not impress any girls... Loud, obnoxious and overall a mess. My honest opinion. Keep up with the good work.
