I just read a most inspiring article about the Rebbe, who recently passed away. He would receive visitors the entire night, sleep a short while at daybreak, then recite tehillim (psalms) for 4 hours straight, every day. He fasted every single day, only breaking his fast at nightfall, except for on Shabbos and Erev Yom Kippur. Doctors who examined him in his final illness were amazed he had managed to survive such an arduos routine. Like many commenters here, i fail to understand the seemingly strange behaviour in this video. Yet i am now sure this holy Tzaddik knew exactly what he was doing, even if we don't.
...same Prophets in Tora, when they were exposed on Hashem spirit, for simple people that could look like they are "crazy". This is a spiritual level that not everybody can understand. I don't care about what ignorant and empty people are saying. I personaly am deeply amezed. Big respect for Rabbi.Shalom
I’m not a religious person but the various ways humans have developed their different religions is incredible. This Jewish religion is mysterious and fascinating to me and I love watching the singing and dancing.
Native American here Ojibwe' Grandfather is in ceremony with food and saying a 🙏. WHY are people So Negative on comments saying disrespectful things? This Is Awesome, He Was A VERY SPECIAL MAN in tune with 😇 😇 😇

The Rebbe uses the word from the earth (min hoorretz) 24 times in the blessing. This is in refference to the kabalistic numerical value of the word vessel in Hebrew, the world is called a vessel and so the Rebbe in his deep concentration expresses that in words. We have a problem today that we in our inability to see deep into profound matters instead preffer mockery and insult as well as ignorant humorous mediocrity. what a shame!
Boozhu, Hello Native American Ojibwe' in Michigan, Grandfather there is in a Deep Spiritual Ceremony. I've seen several Men go into that state when Sooo Deep into prayer with Our Ceremony. I mean So in tune with spirit and surroundings that they have an Aurora around them. Its Beautiful. I am Not Jewish but I find your culture and Ceremonies so interesting Blessed to you All ❤🙏
I would love to eat that bread after such a great blessing made by such a great man!!! Wow the way he is saying the Amotsi is so different in pronunciation than the Sephardi! Wow!! Inspiring Vid indeed!
I had the zchus to speak privately with the Tasher rebbe for several hours (!) about 34 years ago. He would be disappointed to see where I've ended up, but I must say that although I had been skeptical at first, with all of his "rebbishe shtik" but this man has his head on his shoulders 100% and if he does something that seems out of the ordinary, I have faith that he knows what he is doing, even if the rest of us don't!!!
From one perspective it could be dementia such as Alzheimer's, but I would bet knowing what a great tsaddik he was that he had a level of intention that we simply cannot understand.
The Rebbe uses the word from the earth (min hoorretz) 24 times in the blessing. I was lucky enough to meet this holy rebbe 10 years ago on Hanukkah 🕎 the rebbe hands out special Hanukkah gelt coins i got one of those coins, still have it till this day.
I miss you Rebbe. May you live till 120 Lechem Lechol Beged lilBush. A pilar of world, Holy Of Holy. (from his sepharadic hassid) Love, and Hessed of Hashem should follow you. RN
Are you guys nuts???!!! This was the holiest person in our generation! And you guys say that he has ocd??? So how do you explain the fact that all of his followers knew to say amen in the same second???
There is no shame in having OCD or any mental illness. It does not make you any less holy. I agree the rebbe probably doesn't have OCD or something but keep that in mind.
@sidewaysanger , since you do not know Hebrew...you fail to noticed that he complete the words (unlike a stutterer), he is just repeating them as I explained before.
There is not one posek that would have any tynos on the Rebbe. He is one of the Tzaddikim of the Generation. One of the great kabbalists of the generation. Not one person seeing this video could even say Boruch with kavanah such as him. He is not of flesh and blood, he is like an angel & his blessings to Hashem are not something bound by our simple understanding of halacha. The Rebbe is 100% pure and free of sin most of his life. May he live long
This is called putting the cart before the horse. You decided he's so holy that everything he does unconventional can be explained away with "He's so holy he can't be questioned because we can't understand." Would you say the same if he lit a candle on Shabbos? Or ate a cheeseburger on Yom Kippur? Serious question, where do you draw the line?
I wast told as a kid that what a Rebbie, learned person or a righteous one does cannot be followed, not questioned and are holy. He is not sitting on his computer watching TH-cam videos, unlike ourselves. Do not talk about him or Chassidus in such false and negative referendums. Refuah Shlamah (Speedy recovery)!
This man is thanking the universe, life itself for sustenance in the most profound, simple, and holy way possible, and in hebrew. great blessings of na nach nachma nachman meuman to you all.
It’s obvious that this man is held in such high reverence by his people that no way on earth would they show a video of him that wasn’t correct , so reading the comments this is obviously an important part of the prayer or blessing and you can hear at the end people in the room saying a kind of amen the split second he finishes ,
@777deathless888 He is reciting a blessing of gratitude over bread before eating. The blessing transalated from Hebrew is "bless are You G-d our Lor-d king of the universe that bring forth bread from the earth" it is to that that I was reffering in my previous posting.
obsessive compulsive disorders? dementia? holiness? who can tell? All the videos of him he looks old and needing help all the time. There's no video where he is actually talking. I can say he knows what he 's doing when i'll hear him.
@AnonNewsman What you don't know could fill the Earth. He is speaking Hebrew with a particular Eastern European accent. If I am not mistaken it is Ukrainian.. All Hebrew speakers speak Hebrew with their particular accent. That's the way the world works.
Eliezer Pennywhistler actually it's a Hungarian accent, and for example in Russia, Ukraine, Poland, other countries in eastern Europe each contry has it's own distinct accent
This is the one & only bruche the rebbe makes this way so its NOT OCD, and this is not bc he is getting old, I learned in Tosh 13 years ago and it took him then 30 sec. longer to make Hamotzie! So his getting older only makes him doing it faster! All you people commenting here go get ur facts straight .
Based on what I know, the Rebbe was indeed an amazing and holy tzaddik (righteous person). There is an especially enlightening book available through Artscroll with many fascinating stories about him. What I am curious about, and I really don't know the answer, perhaps a chosid could tell us.....Did he usually say the motzi blessing this way or was this an unusual incident? Thanks.
I believe that the RAMA says that nowadays we would not repeat even the first brocho of shmoneh esrai if we didn't have kavana the first time (even though we aren't yotzei shmoneh esrai without kavanah) , because we can't be sure we'll say it right the second time - and we will be be saying the name of Hashem L'Vatala. WOuld you like me to look this up and site you chapter and verse or do you get the point?
It's no problem according to Halocho to say Elokaynu many times as it can also be choil and if one is mechavin that it is choil until there is the proper kavono then that is fine. Note that this didn't take place with the Shaim Yud Kay as that is obviously always Koydesh!
@violinistapr brooklun Queens is mentally spooied, as one dr. wrote immediately, , i think it is also a mix of loneliness and phobic hatred of happiness,
@blubbermama I not talking about another yid. I'm asking for sources that permit this. I was expecting a loyal chossid to explain this on some level. Instead I'm told I have no right to ask this question. That really explains a lot!

Amazing. The power of a true chassidishe rebbe. Being able to repeat a word so many times and still manage to never accidentally pronounce it properly. Hazak u'barukh!
Do you need help to take down this video of yours. It isn't Hashem's will that it should be online. I would be happy to login your account and take it down for you or you could write to youtube and tell them you don't know your password so that way you can take it down.
@violinisatpr a lifelong history does not prevent against alzheimer or anything else, believe me. I am not saying this rebbe has a disease has vechalom. But it's impossible to tell just on this. I’m not a mathematician but I’m pretty sure that כלי is 60. What am I doing wrong here? What other word for vessel is 24?

the word vessel in hebrew is כלי and the gematria for that is 60???
Toiras Chesed Thank you for the teaching.
Maybe he's referring to the word כד which also means vessel and has a numerical value of 24

Amazing wat type of person this man is repeats the last word till he gets the right kivona AMAZING
It's not that, it's a Torah Secret that he is repeating the words.
like yoda in the first movie, you just can tell if the old man is wise or whacked, but we must give the rebbe the benefit of the doubt
Brillant, i think he is in a place extrange for many.

What a tzadeek!!
❤️🥳🥳

He didn't repeat the Shem HaShem. He only said it once. He repeated Eloikeini.
@Elechkite Wow, good point. That explains how the Chasidim knew when to say "Amen". Thank you for that explanation.

I could be totally off but are there or are there not halachic problems of repeating hashem's name? just wondering ,not trying to be disrespectful.
