I just read a most inspiring article about the Rebbe, who recently passed away.
He would receive visitors the entire night, sleep a short while at daybreak, then recite tehillim (psalms) for 4 hours straight, every day.
He fasted every single day, only breaking his fast at nightfall, except for on Shabbos and Erev Yom Kippur. Doctors who examined him in his final illness were amazed he had managed to survive such an arduos routine.
Like many commenters here, i fail to understand the seemingly strange behaviour in this video. Yet i am now sure this holy Tzaddik knew exactly what he was doing, even if we don't.

...same Prophets in Tora, when they were exposed on Hashem spirit, for simple people that could look like they are "crazy". This is a spiritual level that not everybody can understand. I don't care about what ignorant and empty people are saying. I personaly am deeply amezed. Big respect for Rabbi.Shalom

The Rebbe uses the word from the earth (min hoorretz) 24 times in the blessing.
This is in refference to the kabalistic numerical value of the word vessel in Hebrew, the world is called a vessel and so the Rebbe in his deep concentration expresses that in words. We have a problem today that we in our inability to see deep into profound matters instead preffer mockery and insult as well as ignorant humorous mediocrity. what a shame!

I had the zchus to speak privately with the Tasher rebbe for several hours (!) about 34 years ago. He would be disappointed to see where I've ended up, but I must say that although I had been skeptical at first, with all of his "rebbishe shtik" but this man has his head on his shoulders 100% and if he does something that seems out of the ordinary, I have faith that he knows what he is doing, even if the rest of us don't!!!

There is not one posek that would have any tynos on the Rebbe. He is one of the Tzaddikim of the Generation. One of the great kabbalists of the generation. Not one person seeing this video could even say Boruch with kavanah such as him. He is not of flesh and blood, he is like an angel & his blessings to Hashem are not something bound by our simple understanding of halacha. The Rebbe is 100% pure and free of sin most of his life. May he live long

You decided he's so holy that everything he does unconventional can be explained away with "He's so holy he can't be questioned because we can't understand." Would you say the same if he lit a candle on Shabbos? Or ate a cheeseburger on Yom Kippur? Serious question, where do you draw the line?

It’s obvious that this man is held in such high reverence by his people that no way on earth would they show a video of him that wasn’t correct , so reading the comments this is obviously an important part of the prayer or blessing and you can hear at the end people in the room saying a kind of amen the split second he finishes ,

Based on what I know, the Rebbe was indeed an amazing and holy tzaddik (righteous person). There is an especially enlightening book available through Artscroll with many fascinating stories about him. What I am curious about, and I really don't know the answer, perhaps a chosid could tell us.....Did he usually say the motzi blessing this way or was this an unusual incident? Thanks.

I know that according to the Rambam when it comes to Shmoneh Esrei we repeat it again if we feel we didn't say it with kavana, and perhaps the Rebbe is on that level so he would do the same (even though the common psak is that nowadays we don't because we wouldn't get it right the next time) but still, what is the source for repeating the Shem Hashem for birkas Hamottzi?

Can you remove this clip, there is no taclis to put it up. The Rebbe is respected all over the world and this should not be shown especially since the rebbe has requested it removed.

@alexanderlinden did someone say yechi in the chabad style?
why not say the full creed of chabad?
יחי אדוננו מורנו ורבינו שניאורסאהן המשיח לעולם ועד
שמע ישראל שניאורסאהן אלוהינ שניאורסאהן אחד אמן
rebbes are for hasids and Torah is for Jews.

היהודים צריכים להבין כי יש רק אחד המשיח יהושע, ורק שם זה לא הישועה. יהושע הוא הדרך, האמת והחיים ואין דרך אחרת אלוהים

@jamiekolohabib, amazing how naive people are. "Unless permission is granted by the rebbe." Are you kidding me? The Tosher Rebbe is going to "grant" permission to put his video on You Tube next to, say, Britney Spears? And who precisely is going to ask him?
Oh, and sure, he knows exactly what the internet is and what TH-cam is.
I'm just trying to think what his answer would be if someone actually asked that moronic question. "Go ahead boys, if I say hamoitze less than 24 times, that is...
