How to fix " Unable to install the Mendeley MS word plugin" in few clicks.

Mendeley word plug-in is installed simply by clicking on "tools" then "install MS Word plugin" on the drop down menu. If this doesn't work as in my case and the information at the beginning of the video pups up, follow the steps shown in the video and you will get there. My OS is window 10 Home / Office 365, version 16. Hope it helps. Thanks

Go to (C:\Program Files (x86)\Mendeley Desktop) then double click on (MendeleyWordPlugin) go back to Word and problem is solved!

i have the MS word 365 i follow your video after installing the mendeley but still not install plugin to word.
when i select the wordplugin file from the programmerx86, the word creates a box of mendeley but that box is still not working. and also when i restart the word that box of mendeley in references did not appear.

Hey Tauseef!! Thanks for visiting my page. I regret this is not working for you. This is what I suggest to look at:
- Make sure Microsoft word is updated. You can do that by trying to repair, or uninstall and install it again (go to control panel - program and features- change/repair/uninstall)
- Also, make sure the Mendeley version is updated as well by uninstalling and reinstalling it.
- When all of these two steps are done properly, open Mendeley - go-to tools - install MS Plugin
- If still doesn't work, follow steps described in the video to fix it

If you have successfully downloaded an updated version of Mendeley Desktop and it is working smoothly on your computer. I recommend you follow these steps:
- Make sure your MS word program is up to date
- Open Mendeley Desktop - Go to "Tool" - and "install MS word plugin"
- If you open MS word still do not see MS word plugin embedded in it, follow the video once again. Hope it helps this time around.
