I did all the shipping for a long time myself but you are totally right about switching to a fulfillment center. When I started I was fulfilling all the orders myself and everything was fine but when I got some traction it really got unmanageable. Looking for a decently priced fulfillment company was tedious to say the least. I ended up using a company called Powerhouse Pro Fulfillment Center and they really helped out a lot. The other prices I received from a lot of these companies was insane and took me a while to find someone reasonable to where I can still make money.

Thank you for the videos you make, they are very useful. I have a couple of questions: if a customer orders several products that maybe individually would be packed in a small box or envelope and then at the time of ordering I find myself having to put everything in a larger box (which will have a greater weight and cost) how do I anticipate this situation and decide the right price for shipping? And then I would like to ask you if you could better explain the part in which we can pay both me and the customer for shipping, in this case how is I communicated the part that I will pay or in general how it works?
Hey, Maria! Thanks for your comment. I understand what you mean with regards to the shipping multiple products being more expensive. Have you already implemented weight related conditions on your shipping rates? bit.ly/3zmZEu9. You could also consider using Carrier Calculated Shipping on your store to dynamically calculate the shipping cost in checkout. Shopify Shipping is a free offering that lets you use Shopify's carrier accounts - bit.ly/3oPQPUA. For your last question I believe you were asking about the 2:54 part of the video that discusses how to charge for shipping. If you want both you and the customer to pay for shipping, then you would simply increase your product prices to cover a portion of the shipping cost. You would then offer free shipping, which essentially means you cover the remainder of the shipping cost out of your own profits bit.ly/3P7pvfz. I hope this helps!

Hi Michelle, another good video!! For those of us who work from home, what do you recommend we put on the shipper label sender address? Not our home address....? (Doesn't look very professional) Would you recommend maybe getting a PO Box? Thanks!!
Hi, Suze. Thank you for posting this question. We'd definitely recommend getting a PO Box, especially if you feel that it makes your business look more professional. On that note, some merchants do feel more comfortable not using their home addresses as well, so that's another great reason to get a PO Box as long as you don't mind the extra cost. Cheers!

You say you use a broker to get cheaper shipping rates but how does information get into the cart one's customer is looking at? It sounds like this is something you do after the customer makes the order? How do they do that if the shipping rates is not there yet?
Hi there! The shipping rates populate at the checkout once the customer enters their shipping address. From there they are provided the final price and can finish their checkout.
You can choose to use shipping rates provided by Shopify (if eligible), provide your own rates, or connect to a third party shipping provider through an app or supported account. Regardless of the option you choose for your shipping rates, customers will see those rates at checkout once they reach that step. You can learn more about setting up shipping rates in our Help Center here: bit.ly/3OqA6VU. -Shay
@@learnwithshopify Hi, sorry I have the same question and I'm still a little confused. Like with your example mentioned in the video, it cost you only $39 to ship to Indonesia versus $100+ if you didn't use the shipping broker. My question is, how much did your customer pay when she checked out if you've only known about the rate after she placed and paid her order? I am just going the process in my mind and please correct me if I'm wrong --- I will use the rates provided by Shopify Shipping (e.g. CanadaPost) to show the shipping rates, which is still very high even with the discounted rate. Customer pays. When I actually ship it, I will use the broker? If this is the case, how do I know if the customer is not overcharged or undercharged? Thank you for your time, I am just about to launch my business and your insights are appreciated.

These videos are great but I wish they weren’t all so specific to the US. In the UK we only have Hermes to ship with through shopify and they’re a terrible shipping provide
Hi! Within the admin, there isn't a way to add shipping as a separate cost to a product, so this would simply be calculated by you and added to the product price. Otherwise, shipping costs are only added at checkout once the customer has input their shipping details.
Nice video!! So, once the box is ready to go, you just leave it on your porch and that's it? What if you live in an apartment building? If I have multiple boxes to be shipped, isn't it faster to take it to the post office?

Hey there! Great question. The dropshipping model typically allows you to sell products to your buyers without ever actually stocking the items yourself. You would essentially work with a third party company to handle the inventory and fulfillment. Depending on your supplier, you can have more of a say of what goes into packaging and shipping. Are you thinking about starting an online store?
@@learnwithshopify i am studying the business model concepts + taxes + licences. As far as i understood, dropship is being a "middle man", between retailer and consumer. If you are packing your own stuff, that is no longer dropship, but retail. I wonder if there are taxes consequences and different licences that are needed.
That's interesting. Since taxes and licenses vary depending on location, it's always best to check with a local tax authority or a tax accountant to make sure that you charge your customers the correct sales tax rates, and to make sure you file and remit the taxes correctly. We have some more information on this on our taxes guide here: utm.guru/ue0Iz. Hope that helps!

For each Label ????

The question I would like to ask is if one person ordered from 3 different suppliers (like a t-shirt from Printify and a Hat from SPOD and a hoodie from Printful to send to the same address) how do you kept all the shipping + policies and returns all straight they all use their own rules right, how do you deal with that! Do you make Your Own shipping + policies and combine them?
That's a great question! Many businesses will limit the number of suppliers they use for this very reason - keeping things simple for both you and your customers. You're exactly right: if you are going to be working with multiple suppliers, you will want to refer to each supplier's policies to craft your own, so you can set clear expectations with your customers around shipping times and the possibility of items shipping separately. If you're interested, check out these considerations for writing your shipping policy: bit.ly/3GsMGhA. As well as our guide for adding them to your store: bit.ly/3z5ZgkX. Hope this helps!
confusing I thought the supplier will ship your package?? then if you get more experience you move to Alibaba and work with them to put your brand on the packages for a small fee? 🤷 I dont want a courrier pick up packages from my home for shipping these days got porch pirates
Hi there! You may be referring to the practice of dropshipping, whereby items are shipped from suppliers to customers directly. You can learn about this method of fulfillment here on our guide site: bit.ly/3yjtxum. It would be up to you as the merchant to decide if you wish to supply products yourself or to drop ship them from suppliers.
Hi Alex! You'll still need to purchase a stamp or a shipping label in order to ship an envelope or package. Where are you shipping your products from? What sort of products are you shipping?
Great, thank you. You can use a regular desktop printer if you don't have a dedicated label printer supported by Shopify: bit.ly/3AHsmYw. As long as the label is affixed to the package and can be scanned and read by the courier, it should be fine to use.
Hi there, great question! How payouts are received will depend on the payment gateway being used. If using Shopify Payments, you will then receive payouts directly through the admin. If a third-party payment provider is being used, payouts will be received outside of Shopify. I recommend checking out our Getting Paid helpdoc for more information: bit.ly/3OoBEw3.

That being said, any given carrier or business supply company would be able to offer a box size suitable for your products. I would recommend taking a look at Uline: bit.ly/3xbJDHu or Arka: bit.ly/3xacZpC to start.
thank you lady!

Hello mam i want ask you important question about shippit plz reply
JUST GORGEOUS !!!
@@learnwithshopify That is with using a broker? So they have a Shopify App of some sort?
You can choose to use shipping rates provided by Shopify (if eligible), provide your own rates, or connect to a third party shipping provider through an app or supported account. Regardless of the option you choose for your shipping rates, customers will see those rates at checkout once they reach that step. You can learn more about setting up shipping rates in our Help Center here: bit.ly/3OqA6VU. -Shay
@@learnwithshopify Thank you for all the help. Cheers!!
Great job Michelle! Thanks for creating/sharing : )

Is Arca reasonable like AliExpress?
Is eshipper also available even if I’m located in France?
Have any connections between dhl/ups and my post office. I mean if i want to send a product to my customer so where i need to go 1. Nearest postal office or 2. DhL office nd is Dhl a payment system only in sopify store
Hi there! Thank you for reaching out. DHL is a shipping service rather than a payment system. You can read more about using DHL for shipping with Shopify Shipping here: bit.ly/3SJ7zuI.
THANK YOU !!

These videos are great but I wish they weren’t all so specific to the US. In the UK we only have Hermes to ship with through shopify and they’re a terrible shipping provide
What If I want to charge shipping in the product, but still use calculated rates how would I do that?
Thanks!
Thank you..

What brand is the packing fluff?
when you make those packages, meaning you bought the product in bulk, does that make you a retailer and no longer dropshiper?
@@learnwithshopify thank you for that note. Yes , it is a bit like learning to drive without having the street code book

I'm trying to start a small business in Europe but there is absolutely no tutorial or help for these situations. Why is everything aimed at the U.S. and other english speaking countries? Can someone help?
Thank you for your feedback! Is there a specific video or help doc you are looking for? I would be happy to try and find something for you!
@@learnwithshopify I would love to figure out shipping costs and all of that. I don't have any other option other than flat rate shipping costs on Etsy. Is it the same with shopify?
We do also offer carrier-calculated shipping (shopify.link/R6qg). Will you be shipping world wide?
@@learnwithshopify I would be shipping to Europe only
Thanks for the quick response. I encourage you to create an online store: shopify.link/YYj. You can also find more information on creating shipping rates for your customers here: shopify.link/M1Lb. Let us know what you think.
If we get more than 1000 products, manual typing the address is difficult, please tell the solution and how Amazon manage it
Very informative, I like the way you explained all the steps including all the little details like the adapter connected the computer to a portable cute printer plus all the info.
I just did not like that you talk too fast, try to work on that so I don't have to stop your video every second to read so much.
Also, I am confused about the price of the Labels. It is $8.84. For each Label ????
i have my first order and i have no idea how to send it off. i tried to use Eshipper but that's not compatible with shopify
Great question! Are you using a dropshipping app to supply your products or do you have the products on stock?
@@learnwithshopify I am not using a dropshipping app as I am unsure of which one to pick
I accidentally click on this but i dont regret it Cutie 😘
Wait, If someone has bought it for me, what do I do? Where do I pick up the package so I can send it?

Do they come to your door and pick it up and ship it?
Yes, some shipping services will offer that. Others will have a drop-off point somewhere for you to go.
Still finding shopify calculator
confusing I thought the supplier will ship your package?? then if you get more experience you move to Alibaba and work with them to put your brand on the packages for a small fee? 🤷
I dont want a courrier pick up packages from my home for shipping these days got porch pirates
Carrier means?

Hai darling i like you looking and nice voice ❤😍😍😍
you dont have to put stamps?
Hi Alex! You'll still need to purchase a stamp or a shipping label in order to ship an envelope or package. Where are you shipping your products from? What sort of products are you shipping?
a six inch tortoise its my youtube mascot
i havent started my website yet
@@learnwithshopify could i just print the label with a regular printer?
Great, thank you. You can use a regular desktop printer if you don't have a dedicated label printer supported by Shopify: bit.ly/3AHsmYw. As long as the label is affixed to the package and can be scanned and read by the courier, it should be fine to use.
How do I get my money if I ship
Hi there, great question! How payouts are received will depend on the payment gateway being used. If using Shopify Payments, you will then receive payouts directly through the admin. If a third-party payment provider is being used, payouts will be received outside of Shopify. I recommend checking out our Getting Paid helpdoc for more information: bit.ly/3OoBEw3.
