Excellent review. I know I‘m a bit late to the party but I just wanted to mention two little details although I‘m sure somebody else must have mentioned it earlier: the coil tap switch overrides the status of voice 1 / voice 2. Ultimately this means you have nine different sound options. This is what the Fishman manual quite clearly says. To tame the high frequencies there is an internal option under the hood (backside of the pickups). It is called HFT (high frequency tilt) and you can activate it by a separate switch or just a simple jumper/solder connection. I hope somebody finds those information useful. Please double check yourself. The technical Fishman stuff can be quite confusing.

Satin white with a red stripe instead of the green stripe would be really cool. I could use it to play "My Baby Left me for the Milk Man Blues" by One-Eyed Willy.
Have just received this guitar. Bridge pickup upper screw is broken in half, neck pickup upper screw's head is destroyed. Bridge pickup blocks 5-6th strings, neck pickup can't be lowered also. And by the way, guitar does not even work. Is it Indonesian Ibanez quality right now? It's not an instrument, it's garbage...
Every model has a Wizard neck ? Bad idea. I really like the body neck joint contour on Ibanez, but I d get Carpel Wrist after playing a week. And its not like after market companies make replacement necks, so they're missing sales.
There are a lot of different types of Wizard necks. The Nitro Wizard neck on this one is about 2mm thicker than the Super Wizard HP that you'd find on most prestige RGs. They're all still relatively thin but there is at least some variation!
Another Ibanez video that sounds slightly out of tune (which would drive me nuts). So if you want to buy this you will need to get new tuners and a new nut. I dont get it. Guitarist crave tuning stability. Crappy fret work too. I would absolutely pass on this. But then again you could take it to a luthier and make it nice. But I would like it with some type of tremolo. For a little extra money I would get a Schecter, not the budget version.
If the whole body had that rainforest finish, we could talk. I'm so over gloss black guitars. I know I'm in the minority there, but hey, I'd argue that being just like everyone else isn't very "rock & roll" or "metal".
All black guitars are not for everyone. I personally hate that you can NEVER keep all the fingerprints off them and black metal pickup covers and tremelos just look cheap to me. Great sounding guitar but ANY other color but ALL black and use CHROME hardware!!!
Why do a pro RGD model have a plastic nut?? Couldn't they make it to afford a synthetic bone one? To match the overall quality the least? (japanischer Ökonomie falsch mit Ausländer-Einfuhr Gütern jetzt? 🤣)

Ibanez should install stainless steel frets on mid-priced guitars like this. Schecter and Solar already does it.

Grover tuners never let me down. Most of my guitars have them. Sperzel locking tuners are excellent as well

Hi, Noob question can i tune it to a standard tuning? I know it is a RGD but i wanted it on standard E.
possible, it the strings will have higher tension, you might have to use thicker strings
