I've hot glued my fingers a lot, it hurts a bit but it doesn't burn. That being said, the real thing to do is use superglue, not hot glue lmao. Superglue was developed for battlefield surgeons to hold lacerations together when they didn't have time to stitch every patient individually, and hospitals use glue for slashes around the face even now.
