This is correct, BUT it is 16 bit Linear while most other cameras shoot 12 bit LOG. While technically 16 bit has more values, they are distributed in a way that assigns more values to areas which the human eye can't see very well. Therefore the benefit of 16 bit isn't as big as one might think, Unless you push your color grade really really really hard 😅

Today i get my new Phone Xiaomi 12 which has a 12 bit Display. My 4k Phillpis Display has "just" 10 bit, so i would like to get the Fotage at compare this to each other. But i thinnk the Phone wil win because it has also a Amoled Screen =)

The 12bit is the color workspace, provides maximum dynamic range, colour fidelity and detail rendition. After color correction your exported file can often be conventional 420 color 8bit or 10bit which is fine for viewing, but no longer fine for color correction.
In your limited experience you would be correct. But your experience versus the reality that is the Leica sl2-s is very different. It is very much a film makers camera. Especially with the ability of displaying LUTs when in log mode and an option to use shutter angle instead of shutter speed. Shutter angle is basically what cinema cameras and cinematographers use not shutter speed. So the Leica sl2-s is in fact a film makers camera in some ways even more that other cameras like the Sony a7s iii

12 bit raw, only if you want to do extra work and you shoot maybe in the most disgusting lighting and/or don't check your metering.
