This is my favorite Whitney vocal era. During the 88-92 era, Whitney's voice to me was a just a force to be reckoned with. Not saying it wasn't in other era's, but this particular era she was at her peak vocally. SN: Cece will always be the gospel Whitney Houston to me. She was one of the few that could stand toe to toe with Whitney during this particular time. I love how CeCe started a run during the key change at 2:59 & Whitney finished it off. Beast!

Bebe had a really funny story for this performance - apparently the dude playing the drums screwed up the tempo and played it much faster than it was supposed to, so the three of them shared this wtf look before going out (and of course killing it anyway) xD
whitney's voice was always consistently powerful and effortless, but cece could reach the range also with just a slight bit more effort. but on a good day cece can realy put it up there as whitney naturaly does. that's what I like about cece , she surprises you sometimes. you be like , whoa cece where did that come from ? waSN'T EXpecting that at all. but then again it's cece win ans, she's a monster too. Whitney is incredible, the best female vocalist , not by far when it comes to cece cause cece isn't that far behind , but cece has sung live also and she has a voice to the heavens , the power in her voice , and not to mention the incredible Purenes and beauty of her voice is on a level inexplicable .Whitney has the higher octave naturally and the natural crystal clearnes in her tone that cece can also obtain depending on the song she sings or how she's feeling I guess . but naturally cece has a deeper and broader tone , but can have some crystal clearnes also. and so can Whitney have that deeper much broader sound to her voice also along with that natural crystal clear Ness she posesses. cece is a slightly lesser version of Whitney and Whitney is a slightly better version of cece. but they are both equally amazing .

I also just noticed how perfect Whitney's diction was, during the call and answer "Just a little bit higher", Cece started and did not really enunciate higher properly then Whitney came in and pronounced it perfectly and then Cece tried to change it too but Whitney was jsut miles clearer and it came out so much easier.

Cece obviously wasn't as tall as Whitney. So Whitney had larger lungs. Before hearing this song I didn't know Whitney could sing at such a high pitch. it's almost like listening to a totally different person.I grew up hearing her sing lower. This was after this recording. The crazy thing is I don't doubt CeCe could still sing this song at a high level today.She has taken care of her voice. Bebe and Cece and Whitney were great together.Cece is under appreciated i believe,she is and was one of the best singers.And can hang with any singer. Cece always counted Whitney as a sister.And has humbly said whitney sang Bebe and Cece's songs better than they could. Humble and one of the best singers in modern times.

I think you have heard a version that is too quick, it is slower in the original regarding beats per minute, it has been speed up. In my ears, Whitney sounded way fuller than Cece, I would not call it lighter, but she has more overtones in those extreme high belts compares to Cece trying to endarken her sound there. I think, because Cece wanted to sound as powerful as Whitney, she manipulated her natural voice too much, she endarkened the vowels, used slightly too much power and and sounds slightly forced. This has killed some of her overtones she could have amplified, but its psychological, at times Cece belts more freely when you compare her with herself. Whitney just has killed this beyond perfection
