A standard practice when you are dealing with an unknown voltage is to start at the highest setting on the Multimeter and slowly bring down the settings on the measuring device to their lowest value without going over the ratings of the voltage setting, in order to increase the accuracy of your measurement. I had done this, before filming to put the focus on the actual measurement and not on the process of setting up the multimeter.

I can see you chose 25 Volts on your analogue meter does this mean i can chose/set up to any voltage just below 10 Volts as shown on the meter?
