and isn't there a free transition from a car to a bike in CHP, because as far as I know, MBUS don't drive in the rain or at night, and transfer to a car?

Most CHP officers don't have a long career and retire early on disability. It's rare that a CHP officer makes it to 20 plus years. It even more so, as a Motor Officer. Congratulations on your retirement.
