This is one of the best collections of Colorado narrow gauge I've ever seen! Thank you for uploading this! The fact that this has footage of the C&S NG operating and its in color is a true spectacle!
What can I say? Being a Colorado native and a rail fan, I have ridden on, driven on, driven along side of, hiked along, nearly all of the right of ways in this film. However, seeing footage of actual use was very exciting.
Great to see video from that long ago, especially the Salida portion showing the big Monte Cristo hotel and original stone depot, bridge and SteamPlant
Love the video, the informative narration is great, and hate, hate, hate the fake added sound effects. Silent film should remain that way. The added sound of the engines doesn't go with the film.

Love seeing all the old trains on the right of ways that are empty now. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks for sharing. Lovely video
No.315 was in Colorado Territory (1949) and Around The World in 80 Days (1956)
Wish there was footage of the Switzerland trail but that ended in 1917

I saw 315 in Durango in 2004
