Id like to say that you are an incredible man with a wealth of knowledge up there and I wish I could have learned from you. What you are going through is a tough pill to swallow and i pray that you get well with a minimum of discomfort.. may God be with you and his blessings shower you and yours. I will be watching, hopefully learning as much as I can.
At the very least- even though these firearms have become quite valuable, and expensive- they can be kept up in good working order seemingly forever. Especially when we have guys like you who know how to put in the work. Thanks for doing that.
If that is a FA intratec next to you in the beginning of this vid then you won most casual/cool calm collected guy ever for 2022 and 2023. Hand full of vids on a legit FA Intratec as intended
I admit when I saw the title I was concerned but you make a great point. Like a car it can be fixed especially when your focus is to not only fixing the appearance but the functionality of the platform. Great job.
Never come across your channel before surprisingly 😒. Just saw the video you posted over on CRS Firearms for Matt and obviously instantly knew you are a good person. Edit: subscribed. Do you replicate the original smooth semi gloss that the commercial Action Arms carbines had or do you do more of a rougher paint over parkerize like say, John Norrell?
First copper has always been used by old time body and fender men which is were I learned it. Also the copper seams to hold up better and give you better results.
@BWEFirearms Copper sticks less and has more mass so it works better. It also is faster at sucking the heat up. Only thing better is silver and that's far too expensive except for mini parts.
These were made cheap and fast. Don’t understand why the client fussed about a little ding. I guess if you sink that kind of money into a registered MG, a little more isn’t going to make a difference.👍
Great job Richard. I was always told the ribs on each side of the receiver they bump out where to catch dirt if it gets inside of the receiver is that true or were they added for extra strength? thanks in advance
Looks great but I couldn't help but to notice you said you weren't going to display the serial number and you put masking tape over it but then after you completed the repair and showed the receiver you showed the serial number. 🤷🏼♂️ Just an observation.

especially Uzis, all the parts are robust
Not a problem.
They are built to last.
Thank God your showing the craft to the people, cause it's a dying art. 💯
I'm doing what I can to keep the art alive and show what true gunsmithing is.
Appreciate you teaching hs fellow smiths!
That’s a slick trick to prevent over penetration on a receiver brother!!!
Always back up thin metal with copper before welding. Saves a lot of hassles later.
@@BWEFirearms I’ve had to back cracks in mild steal before didn’t have copper bar so used aluminum. Shitty but worked
@@candtdesignsandarms9617 Aluminum and brass work but copper is the best.
@BWEFirearms I have some 3/4" thick 12x12" plates just for welding on (TIG). They come in so handy! Worth the high cost by far!
James Reeves from TFB sent me
Thank you and thanks James.
wow just came across this channel. my lucky day, great content.
Not just a gunsmith, but you know old welder tricks also. I enjoyed. Thanks
Wow, thanks for that. I never considered myself a welder just a gunsmith who could weld. I guess I am a welder too.

No it's a semi auto but It might become a full auto.
@@BWEFirearms that would be awesome!!! Please do a video if you do
@@frustaci9 I will.
@@BWEFirearms Please do, Richard! A long neglected and much maligned family of weapons. Nothing screams 1980's South Florida like a FA Tec-9!
@@jackgates6949 That is the truth.
Good on you for helping Matt in a time of need.
We need more of this in the community!
Looking forward to seeing more of your channel.
You bet!
You will make it buddy. The best content. Because I actually learn
Richard it looks AMAZING! You really are the UZI master.
Thank you.
You do some amazing work, thats hard work on a stamped upper
Thank you. Not hard once you know how to do it just different than most gunsmithing work.
Sausage making at it's finest. So glad you are sharing your knowledge with us.
Thanks for watching!
That's amazing! I couldn't tell where you worked on it. Wow!

Thanks for your knowledge I am glad to have found your Chanel through Crs
Thank you for that and I'm glad you found us.

Great channel, so glad that you posted on Matt's channel and I was able to follow you. Thanks for all of the great information it's so appreciated.
Glad you like what I am doing.
Man the things that could be learned from you... It's my dream to work on firearms like this.
It's what I always wanted to do and I just went for it.
Nice vid. Thanks for supporting crs firearms.
No problem. I'm glad you liked the video.
teaching the next generation is the best
I am trying to pass on some knowledge.
Amazing work sir
Very enjoyable to watch. Thanks for showing us.
Glad you enjoyed it
Do you replicate the original smooth semi gloss that the commercial Action Arms carbines had or do you do more of a rougher paint over parkerize like say, John Norrell?
Maganeze Phosphate parkerizing is very smooth compared to zinc phosphate so the painted finish is very smooth. Like the original IMI US finish.
Thanks for helping Matt! I look forward to watching Your videos and learning.
Your welcome. I'm glad you like my videos.
Excellent work!
Amazing work
Great workmanship!
Thank you!
This was great.
This is why you are awesome 👌
Well thank you.
Amazing. Is there a specific reason why you use copper and not aluminium for shims?
First copper has always been used by old time body and fender men which is were I learned it. Also the copper seams to hold up better and give you better results.

You are very welcome.
Good luck to u brotha keep up the good work u should try to pass is much nolege to ur son also if he's interested hope things get better though
My son has started his journey on becoming a Master gunsmith and seams to like it.
Post video after engraved - Thanks
I was thinking of posting a video of the engraving process.
These were made cheap and fast. Don’t understand why the client fussed about a little ding. I guess if you sink that kind of money into a registered MG, a little more isn’t going to make a difference.👍
It was more that a little ding the metal in the back was reduced by at least half causing possible structural failures if shot a lot with hot ammo.
Awesome work!!
Thank you.
Awesome 👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Right on
Thank you👍🙏🙏🙏🙏
Your very welcome.
I love this stuff
I'm glad you love it Crumpy.
Head to rumble sir
I am on Rumble, and I only get about five or ten view per video if I am lucky. rumble.com/c/BWEFirearms
Great job Richard. I was always told the ribs on each side of the receiver they bump out where to catch dirt if it gets inside of the receiver is that true or were they added for extra strength? thanks in advance
More likely for strength
They were put in the receiver to give it strength. Them catching dirt is just a side effect but not the reason they were put in.
@@BWEFirearms yeah. I will say they ribs do make them look cooler also
@@BWEFirearms thanks for taking the time to clear that up for me👌
Thats it.
awesome...
Thanks 😊
The sad part is a piece of sheet metal that should cost more than $800 is really $18000
They shouldn't even cost $800.
@@BWEFirearms true but inflation has really destroyed the value of the dollar
@@richardcontinijr9661 Yes it has.
you showed the uncovered serial at 8 minutes
Wooow .. i like!! Crush your competition with P-R-O-M-O-S-M.
Glad you like it.
Imagine paying anywhere over 7000 and getting a fricken uzi. I'd rather have a sten gun that was run over by a train
Tfb says sub, i sub.
Thank you!

After I filmed about half the video the customer told me he wanted the serial number shown so in the future he has proof that I worked on his Uzi.
Great work! 👍
Thanks.
