I've seen Yngwie once in a LARGE INDOOR Venue and was disappointed as HELL... Saw JR Brown at the 40 Watt in Athens GA twice... He was 2nd ONLY to Billy Joe Shaver w/son Eddy !!!!! (same town, same small venue!!!
Guitar heros are a thing of the past....its why companies like Gibson...Guild....and guitar shops everywhere are struggling. Jr brown is like pure H2O to the guitar worlds survival.
That may be true about guitar heroes but Junior's style is timeless. That fine blend of country and rockabilly also mixed with that 1950's style of steel guitar would blow the roof off any live venue he's play. In fact, 9 times out of 10 any place he plays is completely sold out. I don't think mega talent like his will ever really go out of style. It's just that the radio and MTV people who have an agenda to dumb down the public with rap crap and boy bands do everything they can to make sure REAL talent never gets played. Anyway, thank god for TH-cam so we can still see and hear great musicians like this even if the powers that be want to hide it away.
