@@MySunshinesz ok thanks so much for replying🙏🤗
Can we keep the fermented batter in the fridge for later use.
Hi....
I love ur sanna.... Can plz give me link of streamer utensil... N even d plate u used?
www.luluhypermarket.com/en-ae/chefline-stainless-steel-cookware-set-8pcs/p/988712.
I tried searching for the plate link but i couldn't find as I bought both items from lulu hypermarket .. Plate brand is Zebra Stainless Steel Deep tray
Instead of yeast other what should we use
U can add kunmura also instead of poha
Ya it's right.
Can we keep the batter overnight? 🍚😟
No the batter will go sour..
Can I ferment it overnight after grinding? Please reply
Fermenting overnight might have chances of batter going sour.. If the weather is not too warm you may leave it to ferment overnight (4 - 5 hours maximum) but I do not prefer.. Also the quality/brand of yeast used will determine how fast your batter will ferment. I use DCL brand Instant yeast & it ferments in no time like in 1 & 1/2 hours.. If I intend to make the sannas for breakfast I usually steam them the previous evening or night & refrigerate and then lightly steam (not microwave) them again in the morning - they turn out soft and fluffy..
If I use baking powder
Is it eaten as it is or do we need a dip?
You can eat it as it is or with curry or chutney ..
Which rice did you use
I used Idli Rice /Par boiled rice..
Is it ok to use cooked rice instead of poha?
Yes
Kerala vattayappam
Can we use baking soda instead of yeast. Pls reply
Sorry I did not try with baking soda..
Ok
They are soft and fluffy but do they have small of yeast.
No only toddy
I have posted other recipe of sannas with yeast you can check my goan recipes playlist 👍
What if you don’t have the right equipment for a steamer?
U can steam in any utensils
From where can I purchase this sanna steamer
I bought it from here
www.luluhypermarket.com/en-ae/chefline-stainless-steel-food-steamer-26cm-3layer/p/1782322?gclid=CjwKCAjwhuCKBhADEiwA1HegOTX-2o9EFss2vwIL1T0K2vH4wVXuqYNUBHZ8dbjfCmK219EscE_JxxoCaXUQAvD_BwE
Or you can find on Amazon 2 tier Steamer many choices are there..
@@MySunshinesz thank you
Why you used poha?? Please tell
Because poha gives softer sannas
Can I use dosa rice?
Yes idli dosa rice is fine
@@MySunshinesz all the recipes but only state idly rice... :(
The one tat I used is idli rice..
Actually in Goa we use toddy in place of yeast.
Yes right
Where is the sur
This is vattappam
Without toddy
I don't consider it " GOAN traditional SANNAS " because originally coconut toddy is used for fermentation...
NOT the YEAST ..no excuse to compromise the Goan name on that modified dish ..
It we can call steamed RICE CAKES similar to Goan Sannas..
This recipe is for those who stay outside of Goa & toddy is not available..
This is a great recipe especially for us Goans who live overseas. How can I get toddy in Australia? Please do not belittle a great recipe.
Aye kitgo baye Yeh goan recipe nahi hai
Sor nahi hai ukda rice nahi hai sadana me pohaa nahi chalta hai this is not goan recipe iss ko thik karo
If there is slight addition to the original recipe doesn't mean it's not goan.. I am from goa and I know how sannas are made.. If there is no toddy to prepare sannas especially to those who live outside goa than this is an alternative..
