This death scene is probably one of the more well-portrayed death scenes in anime. Not only did Caesar give it his all, but JoJo and Lisa don't discover the body immediately, they get a weird mix of hype and worry about Caesar making it out. When they see the body, they just break down into tears.
But wamuu wasn't going to harm caesar any further or kill him, wamuu said that Caesar was out of hamon and couldn't fight anymore, so wamuu was leaving, but Caesar too the ring from his lip to help Jojo, and the rock falling on Caesar isn't wamuu's fault
Caesar, his last Hamon was his most powerful, most beautiful, and probably the most remembered Hamon of all time. His body died, but his spirit lived on with Joseph and together, they defeated Whamu... In the end, he was a hero, a friend... Goodbye, Caesar Zepelli, we will forever remember you, the man who is beautiful as the bubbles themselves...T_T

I blame Jojo's slow ass for this shit. If he had just went along with Caesar instead of taking his precious time to catch up with him, Caesar would still be alive. Albeit Caesar was a bit foolish to rush and try to kill Wham on his own, but still, Jojo should have gone with him. #RIPCaesar
Caesar was dumb and rushed in, because it was day, and therefore Kars and Wham would've been trapped. JoJo knew, that they planned for a case like this, since he read the Art of War and is a pretty clever biscuit. Caesar was too hot headed. Had he waited and listened to what Joseph said he would've been alive. Although it is debatable, if Caesar could've even won a battle at night, because he was very dependent on his Hamon Lenses.
The Drunken Coward Caesar couldn't have beaten Wham without the Hamon lenses, but should he have waited till night time, he could've even survived for quite a while (possibly till the end of the series). He wouldn't have had too fight alone. He could've had Jojo, Lisa lisa & propably even Stroheim (depending on how the scenario would have altered) to back him up. With a team effort, Wham could've been absolutley curb stomped, considering how he couldn't even handle Jojo alone & just barely through a situational advantage measure up to Caesar.
AlluMan96 If he told jojo about the hamon lens, it might have convinced jojo (and the others) to go with him on the offensive...probably (would take a LOT of lenses though)

It's rather that he didn't expect Wham to have the reflexes to react in the split second the shadow covered him before his hamon attack would have landed. Wham is supposed to be a fighting genius, with incredible instincts and reflexes well beyond even other pillar men. It's kind of hard to account for that. Were it not for that Caesar probably would have won. Wham says it himself that if Cars had been the one to face Caesar, Cars would have likely died. At best he'd have won with severe injuries, greater than what Wham suffered.
As sad as the scene is, does anyone else find it incredibly hilarious that the rock flooring that crushed Caesar was specifically in the shape of a cross?
