In this short video, we offer some quick tips for growing your own high quality organic apples and pears. We use wood chip mulch, drip irrigation, organza bags for managing coddling moth larva (apple worms), prune to a modified central leader using summer pruning to keep trees small and manageable and plant multiple varieties to stagger our harvest over several months. I will definitely be bagging our apples and pears next season. This was our second season of full fruit and every one of our fruits were ruined by coddling moths.
