  • Welcome back everyone!!! I hit the road yesterday with @1960gambit and @JawTooth and went down to Sadieville and High Bridge Kentucky. I caught plenty of trains and had a blast. The weather was pretty decent too, it was a little humid but the temperature stayed in the mid 80s. Sadieville is a little sleepy town just north of Lexington Kentucky, the the 1st Division of Norfolk Southern runs through. Which was also the home of Robert Brooks, the first African American Casualty of World War II. We also see good action in High Bridge Kentucky, a even smaller community just south of Lexington. We also caught some Maintenance of Way Equipment going across the High Bridge. The High Bridge spans the the Kentucky River Gorge, at the confluence of the Dix and Kentucky Rivers. It was opened in 1876 and was the first Cantilever Bridge in North America. It stands 308 feet above the Kentucky River.

Another great video Joey but you should’ve zoomed in on the trains coming across the Highbridge but anyway, my friend a train is a train right so as always you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll see you on the next one
