The intense piano-synth music and somehow surpassed "impossible odds" make this feel like an intense anime scene where the hero is rushing and pushing their limits to power a cannon that can slay an ancient eldritch deity from the unknown depths of the cosmos before it consumes their world
Some games have the A/D trick in them - basically, pressing A or D moves you one pixel left or right. It's to allow you to change your align without actually touching a wall. Sometimes you can use it to do jumps you wouldn't otherwise be able to (a 2.75 floor invert, for example, requires the A/D trick).
It's been many years since I touched TASing so I don't know if any of this has changed (for example I know there was an Hourglass remake being done for newer versions of Windows, dunno if it ever got off the ground though) but the rough process I went through is: Get whatever game you want to TAS, Hourglass and a Windows XP VM (it won't work in newer versions of Windows, for whatever reason). Load the game and Hourglass into the VM, set up all your hotkeys for saving/loading states, advancing a frame, pausing/playing, etc. Launch the game through Hourglass and go through everything you want to TAS frame by frame, saving the inputs file as you go (if it doesn't do this automatically). Once you're done, be ready to record (I don't recall if Hourglass itself will output a .mp4 file or if it just replays and you have to record with something like OBS) and replay the inputs to make a video. It's pretty simple overall, just time consuming. The real issues crop up when games don't work properly in Hourglass, which is very often. For most fangames they didn't play jump/shoot/etc. sounds properly and the music constantly skipped around (see my Brute of a Man TAS for an example, it's especially bad in the fourth area that starts around 1:40) I had to open the game up in Gamemaker and add some extra code so that every time it played a sound, it also output to a file that it played the sound on X frame, so that I could use another tool I made (which I no longer have, unfortunately) in order to reconstruct what the sounds should sound like - this is why my NANG TAS has a few mistakes in it sound-wise. That process adds a lot of extra video editing after the fact, though if you don't care about proper sound you can just ditch it. There may also be tools specific to your game that work better than Hourglass (or even just work, since Hourglass doesn't work with every game) - I know for example Celeste has CelesteTAS, which is a mod that provides all this functionality without an external tool otherwise - but you'd have to find those yourself.
1:52 Quality level design.
Low quality, but quality none the less
Thank you for playing!

Bruh whatefuck how is anyone supposed to beat this without a TAS.
Amazing job man, I would rage quit at the first section at the 45th second
Oh, now I realize where the inspiration for the Beast Needle level in Super Mario Maker 1 came from lol
esp since the full name of the level is "I wanna Beast needle from HEAVEN"
Lets take a moment to remember that this is just the medium mode
These games difficult selection screen changes nothing but the amount of saves per run.
What a fun fangame!
+Wolsk You should play it tbh. The 3 block floor invert is a highlight.

Posible?
no human yes tas possible
why didn't you tas it on impossible mode?
Probably because platforming to the impossible start would take a few more seconds.
