    Thank you for this tutorial, using this stitch I made my first finished project - a scarf! The stitch is very simple, very beginner friendly (as long as you know the basic stitches) and looks very pretty.

    All of them are beautiful! Very fine yarn is good for the summer shawls or blouses. The very thick is wonderful for a decorative-throw, fancy blankets…etc.
    Very simple and inspirational!

    As a beginner, the hardest thing for me, is figuring out which is the correct stitch or chain to work into. This is especially true for me when starting or ending a row. I think you do a really great job of showing where to put your stitches. Thank you for that!

    I want it a shell stitch for the beach
    With a bigger hook maybe 5 or six hook

    If using a thicker yarn, which is what I normally use, try using a bigger hook. That will make it more pliable and not make it feel so thick and stiff or bulky. Thanks for a great tutorial! :)

    Foundation / Row 1: chain multiple of 6s and then + 3 more chains; SC into 2nd chain from hook until end of row. chain 3 (at every end), turn work
    Row 2: skip 3 stitches (not chains) and 3 DC in that stitch, chain 2, in same stitch: 3 DC; skip 5; in 6th stitch (3 DC - chain 2 - 3 DC), skip 5; in 6th stitch (3 DC - chain 2 - 3 DC); skip 5 and DC directly into 6th chain (3 DC - chain 2 - 3 DC); should be left with 4 stitches, skip 3 and DC into 4th stitch; chain 3 and turn work
    Row 3: in that chain 2 space of row below: (3 DC - chain 2 - 3 DC); repeat till end of row; DC into top of that 3rd chain from row below; chain 3; turn work
    Row 4: repeat

      I believe you would just do a row or 2 of single crochets, since that’s what it started with

    I love this scarf, I’m doing making it in 40%super fine British alpaca 40% merino & 20% a1 mulberry, it says hook 3 mm but I’m using 3.50 oh so soft. Please could you design a hat to go with this pattern👍🥰
