Everyone is about chills in the manor and shit, but nobody says how this track brings to you the aura of impending doom aproaching, loneliness and missing something that is already gone, trobuled childhood like the main character had.. there are so many emotions packed in this pice of art that... well, I'm speechless. I can't understand how can someone make a masterpiece like this game and charge nothing for it ? The time spent, the people involved. It's crazy.
It is crazy how this is the song I keep coming back to. Something about the moment, the memories, the feelings of creeping around that mansion. This song is just beautiful.
I wanted to put some Enderal OST in Morrowind, but the songs were too emotionally loaded and I couldn't concetrate on the game. The only place where those songs belong is Enderal. Kudos for the composers for making such distinctive, unique pieces of music.
This music playing as you walked around the aged man's manor was just so chilling. I actually reloaded an early save a couple of times just to hear it again from beginning to end. And the way it somehow just fit so well with every little action of the characters! Hearing it get louder as you walk through the corridor was just amazing! Man what a masterpiece!
My first tattoo was the logo from Enderal, over 6 years after playing it through for the fist time. Truly a lifechanging experience, nothing has ever touched me as much as this game did.
I know that this comment is from 2 years ago but holy shit is this true. I'd want to try it again for the first time, the story seemed similar to Mass Effect but then everything changed in basically two seconds. Just an amazing GAME.
SPOILERS FOR ANYONE WHO HASN'T PLAYED ENDERAL: Does anyone else think that the Aged Man was also a Prophet from his culture that is probably long gone, like how the main character is? Your character doesn't age due to being a conjunction of his original counterpart, and since the Aged Man doesn't exactly look his age, could he be a conjunction, too? He even kind of hints at it when he says to you that aging is really slow with immortals, your character will see that too. Anyone else with me on this?
The best part is, the game doesn't shove answers in your face but doesn't exactly hide them either, allowing you to figure out the entire plate without it being served to you on a silver platter, so to speak.
eiderez No argument there. Frankly, even though technically it's a mod, I consider it a game in its own right, which puts a truckload of other RPGs to shame (especially in terms of characters).
I know every Skyrim quest and line nearly by heart. But I have over 4000hrs in that game. I played this overhaul once and I remember every story beat every location every haunting story twist. It’s a masterpiece! And I can’t believe it’s just a “mod”
Walking around the old man’s estate hearing this was one of the scariest moments of any video game I’ve ever played through. It was absolutely horrifying, because until that point in the game the “Fleshless” motif only ever played during Meta moments that were only experienced by the player (dreams, omens, etc.). It was TERRIFYING to hear a LIVING person playing this. It was a moment of “am I dreaming right now? Am I encountering someone that had the same dreams I had? Am I about to meet someone FROM my dreams? How do they know about this song?” The implementation of this song was such a thematic masterpiece; to speak nothing of the song itself and the twisted emotions it evokes. Edit/update: Also, as I was just listening, I had another realization about it. The fleshless we hear before has always been sort of simple; yet unique entirely to the prophet. The prophet is the only character to experience/interact with this motif. Until the aged man’s manor. All of a sudden we hear someone playing a MASTERFUL piece loaded with complexity, depth, and power. All built around the central motif of the prophet. In addition to all the emotions outlined above, there’s another I’ve only experienced as someone who’s completed the game: “This person. Who’s experienced the same things I have. Who has a level of power I can barely fathom***. He’s a prophet too isn’t he? From a previous cycle? That’s why he’s so ungodly powerful to the point that the light born feared him. He never finished his power crawl. He’s had the powers of the prophet for several tens of thousands of years. And several tens of thousands of years to master them.” *** (keeping in mind the prophet is supposed to be one of the most powerful and skilled characters alive by the end of the game)
This track is strangely soothing to me. This piano is so soft, but the song is really tortured and conveys so much different states of mind. I remember being scared but fascinated when I wandered through the Aged Man's manor. I wanted to flee and stay to listen at the same time. What an incredible moment for an incredible game...
And its incredibly powerful music does anchor in real life the qualities that the game already has (story, exploration, character development). I guess it's not surprising to see that they wanted a very good OST for this game, as they have been so clever in creating this game, separating it almost completely from what Skyrim is. My best games always have a memorable OST : their music triggered something deep during my playtime so that it's not "a playtime" animore. :) And oh, yes, the track entitled "The Prophet" is on my mind right now!
I'm always thrown by this song because of the wall break. The Aged Man character is playing this on a piano, yet the opening of the song is what you hear when doing the "A Nice Day in Summer" dreams. How did the Aged Man know what is, in essence, a mood set for the game?
hands down one of my favourite quests. just the atmosphere of it; the feeling you get sneaking around a mysterious, isolated mansion with a friend at night...such good vibes
I've recently ordered a transcribing for myself, so if anyone is interested - here are the piano sheets: drive.google.com/open?id=0B8atMH7mVNLsZVVKNVRidTNlbHZhUFpuZnBjaTZXVTZYX0pZ
The vibes this gives you when you play the game make it such a different and unique experience. It makes the game different from anything I have ever played.
The way this song perfectly match the players emotions while playing is incredible and the most impressive I've seen in gaming or movies for that matter 👏 The track is dark and haunting with a level of uneasiness that chill downs ur spine, while at the same time being comforting with smoother notes and times it goes becomes more epic/less dark sort of giving you courage and curiosity, the ending leaves a uncertain feeling perfectly matching the end of the quest. The players begins sneaking around in fear of getting caught to get curious and fearfull when they find the secret room that made me so uneasy and curious for more that you litterally stand on something that looks dangerous to get more information, and you have ur talk with the old man answering a few question while leaving you with more so you litterally leave feeling like you know nothing witch you do Incredible piece of art from the developer to the writers to the voice actors to the composer. The way this game makes you feel is unmatched just like the way it makes you think and wonder, peaks ur curiosity with its theme and atmosphere while always leaving on edges and shocked
They will burn / The white light will shine within their eyes / Dreams / No compromises, second playthrough and I was so damn shocked when viewing the art within the mansion, and how he calls himself "a fleshless observer"...
Did you finish Enderal? If you didnt, alert, many spoilers ahead I think, the Aged Man is the Emissary from the past. He called himself "observer, a fleshless eye". Very that theme called "fleshless" and we know who they are. And probably he made a choice not to stop the Cleansing but to try help humanity in the next cycle. And his woman in water for him may be someone like Calia or Jespar for us. And about pride I'm not so certain but maybe it is connected with his woman or his attempt to help humanity in the next cycles. Thats why I didnt chose starcity ending. I saw the Aged Man and his companion and this is not the fate Calia and my Prophet deserve
Yes, I've finished Enderal - twice - and know every ending. Another crazy idea of mine: Could there be a connection between the Aged Man and the Black Guardian? The Black Guardian mentioned "the eye" as part of the Goliath. The Aged Man has called himself a "fleshless eye". Coincidence?
Spoilers: The aged man is (heavily implied to be) a prophet from a previous cycle. Each emissary is a fleshless creation of the high ones. When someone dies, if they were feeling the right cocktail of emotions before their death, the high ones will resurrect them as a puppet. With that one emotion being their default programming to DRIVE them towards the high ones plans. “This is the story of someone who wanted to be free” The prophet was a powerless child. That escaped a bloody war/conflict (and potentially an abusive parent) while his family was executed. Our version of the prophet stowed away on a ship like a rat (cause he couldn’t get out any other way) and got caught halfway through. All he wanted was freedom. He wanted to be important. He wanted power. So the high ones gave him that. And he played right into their hands. As soon as the prophet wakes up he has all these cool new powers. And he’s learning more at an unprecedented speed. Soon enough he’s told that he’s one of the most powerful people alive. That he’s the only one that can stop the high ones. That his awesome and incredible power is the only thing that can save the day. Suffice to say he develops a little bit of a complex about it. We notice this in game, when our subconscious (“Daddy”) keeps trying to tell us that we ARENT what we think we are. We SHOULDNT have all this power. We SHOULDNT be this important. Something is WRONG. Something is USING us. Realistically, we shouldn’t even be ALIVE. Our subconscious (daddy) is BEGGING us for a reality check. But we’re too busy saving the day and drinking ambrosia that we don’t NOTICE that we’re following the SAME pattern. “I’m the prophet. I’m the most powerful person alive. I can stop them” Completely forgetting the fact that THOUSANDS of other prophets with our EXACT same skill set have thought the same thing. If we didn’t try to stop the high ones; if we just fucked around in the undercity doing quests and collecting ice claws; the beacon would never be built. The high ones would never get here. The red madness would probably get worse, but who’s to say they could even maintain that forever. They may just run out of juice at some point. But that’s never happened before because EVERY prophet gets all cocky and over confident and rushes to stop the high ones. And sure, maybe if there weren’t other emissary’s on the board, the prophet may actually stand a chance. But we still have other players. The emperor, with his affiliation with the old order and his burning desire to create stability and “lead them to the light”. The betrayer, with his broken heart and burning desire to sabotage the emperor for hurting him. The messiah, and his desire to destroy the old order that the emperor was affiliated with. And more. Every emissary has certain “strings” the high ones pull to bring everything together to set off the cleansing. And the prophet’s string is his pride.

It wasn't memorable at all with 80% of the gameplay being: "kill the things and collect the stuff" with no substance between it all. Thank god for the modding community.
sureAI was kinda like an entire game developer, just that they used skyrim as an engine for their game. I wouldn't call Enderal a mod if I could. Technically it's a mod yeah, but it's an entire game.
Hey there! As mentioned in many of my own music videos this is an old version of the track Fleshless. Only Seb probably has the sheet. Try contacting him
Hey, this question is a bit off topic but I'd like to know are the bard songs available for download too? As there are 1 male singer and 2 female singers using different vocal techniques. So that's quite some amount of the songs too! If not available I'll just videocapture from the game lol
It's not super difficult to rip them from the game files, although they don't have proper filenames. They're in wav format (which is lossless) at around 700 Kbit/s, so it's good quality too. If you can deal with manually adding the proper filenames and Song of the Winter Sky being split into two tracks, it's totally worth the effort imo.
You should request the sheet from Sebastian Loebbers or Nicolas Lietzau directly. They have the sheets of all the variations of this track I think since they are the original composers.
You can find similar style pieces by composers like Adrian Von Ziegler, Brunuhville , Bill Brown and Jeremy Soule if you are interested in the atmospheric essence/ambient. You can also try Exist, Nexus , Lucas King and Ekaterina
Sebastian who composed this has the original sheet for the old version. Not sure if you can find it anywhere else. Try contacting him here sfrl.github.io/
This huge masion, this mentally sick old man with his wife in the open coffin, those creepy ass puppets and everything combined with this beautiful masterpiece of music makes even the most badass truck driver sh*t his pants.

Skyrim: "Dagern-bern, go git the grandma scroll mmk" [2-5 hours of killing dwemer robo-cops getting blank lexicon, more killing of robots and several blind pointy eared smeagols (but this time in glowey cave), using key that gives access to boing ass puzzle, finally solving boring ass puzzle, and obtaining elder scroll later...] "kay gud nao ur only allowed to read it when ur on top of mount Everest because the lore says so."
Enderal: "Prop-het go halp ze guy fin his kool airship so ya can get dat mep" [only 1 hour of fetch questing later] [ship is fin, joins mile high club with Calia, reaches ̶D̶w̶e̶m̶e̶r̶ Starling ruin in tha sky, gits betrayed by cray-z ship builder guy, has to escape metal lazer berd (gets stuck for 15 mins at hidden nose lever] progresses towards metal berd on/off switch, switch is just a fuckin' red rock (wth am i supposed to do with this?) , Jespar saves protagonist's ass with secret path, runs from metal berd to room with convenience written all over it, containing the mep and escape pods from bioshock 2, falls out of sky in metal ball as if that would protect them from falling from that height but magic says soooo]
}
In closing, Enderal's main quest is more scripted but in a way; more polished/refined compared Skyrim's "kill everything you see and collect shit for 5 hrs, no time for talk nor exposition, and oh yea collect that one thing you need to progress, no rush" format. wait does Skyrim even have a story? It wasn't memorable at all with 80% of the gameplay being: "kill the things and collect the stuff" with no substance between it all.
Thank god for the modding community.
sureAI was kinda like an entire game developer, just that they used skyrim as an engine for their game.
I wouldn't call Enderal a mod if I could. Technically it's a mod yeah, but it's an entire game.
When you realise that, as the player character and Prophet, you were solely responsible for the end of both the game and world of Enderal.
Breathtaking! The amount of work is unthinkable. Are there any notes available, I was wondering? I’d really love to play it myself 😊
Check literaly below your comment xD
Is it possible to buy a copy of this piece? I can't get it out of my head.
I want this to be played at my funeral
This made me feel unsafe in the manor... like, the fealing of someone (or something) would appear to attack me
This game really made me question my existens and the reality we live in today

Where can i find the sheet music for this, i really want to learn to play it
As far as I know only Seb has the sheet for the original piece. See if you can contact him here sfrl.github.io/
Outstanding track that fits the Aged Man's manor and the mission! Do you know where can I get the album?
Can be downloaded for free at soundtrack.enderal.com, though it's fairly large (it contains 118 tracks).
Thank you very much!
I will get the soundtracks and find a way to support these guys, the game and the musicians too!
It's as Sirmakesin said :)
Got all 118 tracks, huge thanks!
Is there a piano sheet of this anywhere?
Hey there! As mentioned in many of my own music videos this is an old version of the track Fleshless. Only Seb probably has the sheet. Try contacting him
@@eiderez I see. How'd I contact him tho?
@@FolkoMagipaw I think the best way is through the Enderal team.
@@eiderez Well, guess I'll try my luck >.>
Hey, this question is a bit off topic but I'd like to know are the bard songs available for download too? As there are 1 male singer and 2 female singers using different vocal techniques. So that's quite some amount of the songs too! If not available I'll just videocapture from the game lol
They are not part of the original soundtrack but im sure you can find them somewhere.
Thank you, will give you news if I found that they are up.
I'll check it if can find audio files in the game directory, used to do this in some older games. Thanks!
Does anybody know name of track that plays when you and Calia visits tavern?
lawrence kraft Should be the Calia theme "Two Souls"
Could you please release the sheet music for this? I'm in love with this and want to learn it so badly.
You should request the sheet from Sebastian Loebbers or Nicolas Lietzau directly. They have the sheets of all the variations of this track I think since they are the original composers.
Yeah, that's probably true but I figured they are really hard to get to. I will try!
They are hard to get to :P thats why you can't find the sheet out there so far
Probably a little late but th-cam.com/video/ffRgll4S5L8/w-d-xo.html
Do you know the Aged Man?
Could you please upload this to Synthesia or any other tutorial tool where one could learn this masterpiece?
Ask Andreas Makusev for smth like that
Is sheet music ever going to be released? :3
Not sure about that. You will have to check with the respectful composer of the track
any news yet? *same questions here.. :D

At least Jespar was there! So creepy!!
Hi, can anyone recommend similar in style pieces like this one? Pretty please :)
You can find similar style pieces by composers like Adrian Von Ziegler, Brunuhville , Bill Brown and Jeremy Soule if you are interested in the atmospheric essence/ambient. You can also try Exist, Nexus , Lucas King and Ekaterina
I didn't mention I meant piano with similar harmony and dynamics. Thanks for recommendations tho, I'll surely check them out later :)
Well they certainly have similar harmony and dynamics on some of their music pieces. Make sure to check them thoroughly
Try this guys too soundcloud.com/rich-rd-ritsu-szepes
I am a year late, but in Final Fantasy XV, just TH-cam search the 'secret dungeon' music
For some reason now I want to login to Aion and play Kromedes Trial!!
ahah that's it! I always wondered what this piece reminded me of and that's Kromedes Trial lol
People! Can You recommend me some music in mood of this track? :D
Can't say that it is 100% same style but you can check Adrian von Ziegler . He does some awesome job with dark & emotional piano music
Thx man, I will check him for sure!
Is there sheet music for this anywhere? I want to try and learn how to play it!
Sebastian who composed this has the original sheet for the old version. Not sure if you can find it anywhere else. Try contacting him here sfrl.github.io/
@@eiderez Thanks!
can someone tell me who the women was in the manor in ice i was confused
is this on soundcloud if so whats the name of it
I wonder why the song is the same one from your dreams as a child
This huge masion, this mentally sick old man with his wife in the open coffin, those creepy ass puppets and everything combined with this beautiful masterpiece of music makes even the most badass truck driver sh*t his pants.
Sounds very Chopin inspired
This played in my head and I was like 'wait, this sounds like "In the End" by Linking Park'. Then I compared the two and I hear a similarity. Could this be a (spoilery) inside joke? Lol. Love it though
Bro how lol I don't hear it at all.
@@zalasyu It's the piano in the intro.

@@michawronski5031 I still have that file, but it doesn't seem to be perfectly correct. Use this version instead: drive.google.com/file/d/1wWQZx7x7tTWcPtz0t3PIY4UM7al3J7ru/view?usp=sharing

A. In a Videogame (Your choice... Imagine Dark Souls xD)
B. In a Series (Your choice)
C. An Animal. (Your choice)
D. An Human. (Random)
In Enderal.
