    I keep coriander leaves in my fridge for 2 weeks w/o any of your methods , just as brought , also dried leaves does not impart flavour and true color . you can also wash dry and roll in a paper towel (overlapping) which keeps good for 2-3 weeks .thanks

    I've put it just straight into a freezer container without water. It defrost almost instantly and is limp but flavour OK. Crumbles or is chopped easily.

      I am not sure about access to properly filtered drinking water, where you live, so I thought I would leave this link to verify.
      Cilantro can absorb more heavy metals than any other plant we know of, except maybe chlorella. If you get fresh cilantro, I like to save the stems I cut off and use them to filter out heavy metals still present in the water where I live, like fluoride.

    need guidance..the 4th method of microwave please explain, how much °C should be maintained and for large quantity is this method applicable

    • @AsmaNetwork
      @AsmaNetwork  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Raj Sagar : Spread coriander leaves in a single layer and microwave on full power for 30 seconds, and let it cool down for 15secs. Repeat the process until leaves are crunchy.. It will take 1 or 2 minutes.
      Tips: Place coriander on a paper towel, or on a paper plate if you have one handy. The process works without them, but they will help things dry quickly and evenly as they wick away water.
      If you don't use a paper towel, make sure to move each leaf between rotations so it doesn't stick in it's own herby-juices

    did you wash before storing it

    • @AsmaNetwork
      @AsmaNetwork  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No.. out of 4 methods I washed only at 3rd method. i.e before freezing, because u can directly use the coriander cubes in curries.

  • @krishd7246
    @krishd7246 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    nice idea but also chop and fridge in container also usefull when use pick up bu fock.

  • @gurlivsingh11
    @gurlivsingh11 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    No need to store in ice tray, this way you'll put ice in the currys. just wash, cut, and freeze in a feezer bag. it doesn't stick and comes off easily whenever needed, use as much you want.

    Isn't cilantro the plant with just the leaves and the coriander the seeds the plant produces after it flowers??? When I buy fresh green leaved cilantro, its called cilantro. When I buy the seeds in the jar it's called coriander. I believe these are two separate entities even though they come from the same plant. Sort of like nutmeg and mace, both come from the same seed pod.

    • @AsmaNetwork
      @AsmaNetwork  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you are right.
      I think in North America the plant is called "Cilantro"
      In Asia the plant is popular as Chinese parsley, Coriander leaves, Hara Dhania, etc
      But Internationally, The plant (leaves) is called "Coriander" & seeds are called "Coriander Seeds"

    Is it required to cut coriander leaves into very tiny pieces when placing in dried container?

    • @AsmaNetwork

      For 4th method, no need to cut them into tiny pieces . Jst crush the dried coriander in your palm before using.
