    Alas, need not one admit that one oneself has caused the "sinking feeling" mentioned at 23:? However, Strauss knew that he himself did not understand Husserl and Heidegger! And not through lack of going through their published seminars. Such is wisdom.

    nietzsche ,the hater of socialism ,the philosophy of 19 th century europe, was a great reactionary and the favourite philosopher of the 20 th century fascists. A person in favour of slavery and indeed the necessity of such a societey to support a free ,leisured and"deep "elite.

      @@SensusCultura My hilarious comment was not based on my reading of Nietzsche but on a ,i think,common view of Nietzsche. As whether i've read Nietzsche ,i think is a pretty stupid comment.
