wdym, reservoir was barely interacted with as far as talents and the like(only interactions with reservoir that I can think of were shadow stealing into reservoir, flamecharm reservoir back on hit, and golden tongue) reservoir acts as an inaccessible ether bar that you would just use golden tongue or frigid prisms to make up for. it's original intention i believe was an anti prolonged fight(s) mechanic but as it drains so quickly and this functionality is done better by blood it's useless they just have to change the +reservoir talent bonuses and rework the very few cards and boons/flaws that interacted with it, doesn't seem like a big deal to me
With luck removal and some mandatory talents being quest. I think making a build will be less boring, encourage more exploring and help player that mediocre at pvp have chance to finish a build
i 100% agree, as progressing a build that isn’t using a fast swinging heavy obfuscation or med, basically cannot do 1v1s for luck. I went into arena on 3 of my slots and fought a crystalization frostdrawer, who did 1.5 bars with ice lance and had frozen pincushion. next was azure flame gladius flame wisp finishers ring, 10000 size fire palm and the gladius was blazing ench. then i fought curved penis of cum, and fought an actual good player using no attunement.
so in other words you're shit at the game and don't want to put any effort or work into making a build and expect to get every single talent that you want

1. probably 2. it's not an aba/gpo combo, it's a counter against aerial attacks. it gets i-frames against aerial attacks and punishes players for overusing them
I don't mind deep being more combo orientated cuz it would probably make it a lot more fun also having tempo helps with the inf combos people might do so all in all w new combat system

I can't wait for this update the combat in deepwoken really needed something like this. One thing tho (no I'm not complaining about reservoir like everyone else). Apparently luck is being removed, so now I don't see any reason people would be fighting. I never got too far like level 60 or getting a bell, but the only reasons I see for people even using the new combat system in pvp would be random personal things like someone stealing your drops on death, a small chance to get an enchant off someone, or stealing a small amount of silver from them. It could also be for tacet, or for claiming their bounty but I have never used the bounty feature, and having tacet as one of the only reasons for pvp seems dumb. They're gonna have to give silver a lot more uses in layer 2 because it looks like the only wide spread reason for combat now. correct me if I'm wrong tho I'm probably missing some giant feature for pvp.
I'm glad they did something about skilled people being invincible by parrying but eh I feel like all the other stuff just makes deepwokens fighting system less unique, maybe I just saw it wrong but I don't like some of these changes, but hey they might be changed soon and if they aren't there's nothing I can do about it. After all I got better things to complain about like the mini slide, I will complain about it untill the day I fucking die. hmm, most of these make me happy, but i do have a little bit of dislike regarding the reservoir, if they made it so instead you had reservoir as the thing that you used for venting instead of the ether bar it could be cool, however i would probably prefer it if reservoir was just kept the way it is with a few changes, such as being out of combat makes you not use it (anyone who has ever used wind jump in deepwoken know why i want that) but that's not the best of changes i think i would just like reservoir the way it is currently, I feel like it would be much better to simply modify the reservoir bar rather than too remove it completely.

just like I said in agas video, I like the new uppercut, another mix up for people who spam air attacks, maybe reduce the parry frame time down to just a second instead of a full 1.5s. 0.2 cool down is maad fast, and personally I think .5 would be perfect for current Deepwoken. but 1.5 is just too long for me. I also aren't too big of a fan of the kick at the end, the flourish was supposed to be an end to extensive agressive play, but not putting people back to neutral every time. idk man, idk.

like AreaForce said thats exactly what the kick does you see with the kick added you dont wanna be spamming your m1s only you can whiff a few m1s and go in directly for a flourish kick if you maybe have a followup mantra you can move during the kick slightly like an m1 meaning its alot better in team fights where your opponent does get set to neutral but you yourself dont AS much so if 2 people are close and flourish 1 the other can do free damage to you
That’s good thing, right now the neutral is spamming m1s to create a wall of disjointed hitboxes in front of you. The flourish will reduce that and allow for aggressive play

The rogue lineage part instead of spamming M1 is way too good. I love all of the things shown in this video and I hope it does get added. If it doesn't, that's okay. I can get used to new combat.

That way they can't just spam m1 and critical to get easy grips. Will also give them a reason to use faints cause I mean let's be real when's the last time you seen a dagger user use a feint 💀

Rag already know there are some braindead combos in game like flamecharm, thundercall true combo but they gonna make the things WORSE since parry miss will punish u EVEN HARDER. For example, if u miss one parry and ur gonna lose half of hp with some high damage/multi hit mantras like bolt piercer, wind carve, etc. Also this gonna mass up pve fight too since light weapon npc will punish u HARD and ferryman/duke fight like humanoid boss fight gonna be rly hard. They added tempo and venting yeah, but if venting get parried/blocked u will give ur opponent another chance to punish u with combos AND THIS IS NOT FUN AT ALL. Rag already removed movestacking to prevent combo and making the game combo based again???? Doesn't make sense

the new system is called "tempo" and any resevoir-related content will likely be changed to increase the rate at which tempo is attained

upper cut is actually pretty good it counters ariel stabs/start ariel combos but if you just throw it out and get parried then they get a free hit
