If, instead of fully activating an alien waiting to ambush you from a vent, you walk away, they'll get a red bar. That red bar is a timer; when it counts down, the alien gets bored of camping a vent no one is walking past and f***s off to parts unknown.
Also, grenade face hugger eggs. Shotty isn't good enough.
Yeah it is not worth dealing them directly. Also, using flamer on eggs have been useful method since when done fast enough those facehuggers die before triggering hunt, mostly.
Ive never had the shotgun not work againstem. As long as your pretty close it works
Listen up marines. Your next mission is Jingles Landing. You need to go down the salt mine and carry out the orders of the rear admiral. God help you.
Make sure to go in the rear door😂😂
Sometimes the most direct access is down through the top hatch though.

By the way! Jingles! This is your daily reminder to set up motion trackers as you go! Being able to pop a motion tracker to distract aliens would have helped you sooo much that mission

Jingles when you enter the room press "M" check the map what is in that room. You can see all tablets , med and Tools . Also when you are in safe room before rest use some of the command points for example motion taker, after the rest your command points are back to max :) GL
I like the fact that you switch from realising that the "clustered contacts" are "the cultists" to "I dont like the look of this room, its full of contacts, will this bulkhead hold?" to "those contacts are the cultists and they are locked up until I make a move first."
Selective memory ftw.
He also:
1) heals
2) makes a saferoom in the same place AFTER healing
3) breaks the saferoom
4) triggers onslaught
5) makes a saferoom. Again. IN THE SAME ROOM.
6) Talks about missing a datapad when there's a door RIGHT to wear he needs to go.
EDIT:
7) Breaks the saferoom again, leaves, wanders around, triggers 4 hunts. Fights a boss
8) Goes back into the same saferoom. Welds it shut AGAIN.
9) Finally finds out where to go.
10) continues to not understand the concept of doors already being sealed.
God its like watching a zombie mobile game add where they play terribly to infuriate you into buying the game.
To be fair it makes it entartaining, even if im facepalming and yelling at the screen what he should do x)
I love this game. There are some bugs (unavoidable pun) but man this game is a fresh take on the genre. The game is designed to make you the player just as stressed out as your marines. Playing without getting too stressed is possible, but that is a lot slower and not nearly as fun. The makers of the game wanted to capture that hopeless feeling from the movie and they did a pretty damn good job IMO.
Agree wholeheartedly. Just got to the Hayes/Otago level (no spoilers) and the change-up in style, method and the additional stress creation for the player is phenomenal.
This is a top-down game done right. The tension, real-time tactics, the visuals, all really good.

Solid piece of advice for everyone playing, if you enter a room with eggs and they haven’t “hatched” yet, use your grenade launcher. Kills all instantly and you don’t trigger a hunt provided you kill them before they (the eggs) detect you.
Today in ALIENS: Jingles does everything but the objectives to gain as much EXP as possible.

You don't have to alert aliens that are hiding in the vent. You can just wait for them to leave.
You can wait out an Alien ambush. Once you see the circle, WALK out of range, and wait for the red bar over the vent to run out.
Also, I'm pretty sure my stress levels are a reflection of Jingles' marine stress levels watching him use those med kits when he didn't need to, plus the ambushes, and whatever else he gets up to. And I'm only at the 12:37 mark as I type this LOL.

Haha my god in the years of watching your videos I have never shouted at my screen so much "WELD THE DOOR", "YOU'VE ATTRACTED THE ALIENS", even hurt my forehead from slapping it so hard. Coming from someone who has completed this game twice now I can't wait until later in the game :D
The last time I played a game like this was Syndicate, from 1993. I played it on my DOS PC system. 30 years later and things have been updated quite a bit, but the format is amazingly similar.
I propose that if you are a sailor in Rear Admiral Jingles' fleet... and you are first to make a comment... that comment should be a salute to Eddie. As simple as saying his name, or as inventive and respectful as someone can conjure

Your squad was at 90+ getting into the ARC, I was screaming at my screen for you to rest in the hostage room to avoid getting that close, but that’s part of the fun!
Jingles is more stressed out than the Marines are tbf. :P
There was also the first room on the ground/first floor. Cost of only one tool. Viola. Stress-free Marines.

I doubt he’ll see this, but I wonder if welding the doors shut to the rooms that contain the hive entrances will keep any new Xenomorphs from coming into the level?
Xenos can break open welded doors, so I don't think it would work

Free tips for Jingles:
Aliens laying in ambush in the vents can be waited out. So long as you're not in the area of alert, they will eventually de-spawn.
Your kitty cat is right, you know. Remember to put down deployable motion trackers everywhere. If you can get to the point where the entire floor of a map is covered by monition trackers, you can see the positions of everything. Very helpful.
The U1 grenade launcher is perfect for dealing with eggs before the facehuggers spawn. Just be aware grenades are loud, and will draw the attention of any nearby enemies.
Try to carry as many deployable sentry guns as possible. They are absolute life savers during hunts, boss fights, and the massive onslaughts.
Redemption is arguably the best trait to pick when leveling. Just flat out get rid of that negative trait every marine has at level 1 is awesome. Especially for some of the more nasty negative traits. I almost always pick it.

Jingles, use the Grenades/RPG on a clutch of Eggs or the Sniper Rifle, but make sure you have some distance to break line of sight otherwise they'll hatch before you deal with all of them, Also you need to consult the Sector Map to advise a plan of attack prior to wandering around the map aimlessly, TEAM SPIRIT is HIGHLY advisable for later missions

Just a FYI: You can use your underbarrel grenades to kill eggs without starting a hunt, you just have to kill all the eggs with one grenade.
You will draw in everything in scanner range, but that's what mines are for.
Speaking of the runners: they are the most annoying enemy in the game, since when they patrol they are almost impossible to dodge.

Jingles: "Oh, here's an ambush. Well, nothing I can do, so just stand in the alarm circle until it goes off..." Well, could have stepped out of the circle, waited a minute or so for the Alien to leave, then continued without triggering a hunt...

All locked doors do not require decrypting and tool. Those are usually limited to be unlocked from one side.

Good grief! Even watching this game, the tension is palpable. I'm amazed Jingles didn't go to brown alert and quit.
I hope Jingles gives Jagged alliance 3 a look see.
Only critique I have so far is that the vent Xenos still register on the motion tracker. I don't know if it's just a gameplay decision by the developer but I think showing the expanding red circle should be indication enough that there's something there.
Have enjoyed your content for years with WOT, WOW's, never really watched any other vids other that WOT and WOW's but these other games are nice to see. And never really watched mingles with jingles series. But have watched the last few. Sorry for the loss of your friend, prayers and condolences to you as his friend and prayers and condolences to his family and friends during this time of loss. o7

Jingles your best friends are the drone that you can send to recon the area, the aliens ignore it but humans shoot it you can make noise and the aliens will follow it then your second best friend are mines, place them everywhere and let the aliens kill themselves at one point I had 8 aliens following my drone making noise and i planted a huge mine field then had the aliens follow my drone into the mines :) the mines wont trigger a hunt since they never saw you:)
Some creators give random exposition on the benefits of the random sponsor of the week. Jingles gives random exposition on the benefits of the game function he isnt using.

Just catching up with this series, prompted me to watch Aliens 3 last night.
Not as bad a film as it gets made out to be and frankly fantastic given the sh!t show that went on behind the scenes.
Somehow though I'd never caught the similarities with T2 Judgement Day's ending... Villain falls into molten metal, hero then self sacrifices into same pool of molten metal to prevent a corporate entity from gaining acess to their body for research and nefarious shenanigans.

Sentry guns don't activate hunts, put one down on a patrol route, fall back and let it kill the alien

you can hit the vent with a grenade and it doesn't start a hunt
No expert, but with vent aliens, can't you use the sentry gun to take them down without triggering a hunt? Since they only seem to trigger by spotted personnel

yes but for some reason when i tried it on lvl 10 it no longer worked, but you can wait it out it leaves when the red bar empties out
