In Portugal we have Knight's Templar tradition, so we worship the Virgin Mary, Mary Magdalene and other representations of the Divine Feminine. As much as I delight in watching the dance, it is heretical to record this close. That's what sacred virginity means, don't touch it like that. Plus it's very hard to lose your self with others in dance when there's cameras in you face, the main reason why people used to dance more with less drugs.
I also remind you of the story of Dionysus (basically the og God of Boom) and his wild Maenads, who worshipped him through dance and joyful madness in ragged mountains. They found Pentheus peeking the rituals on top of a tree, brought him down, ripped off his limbs and his head, and tore his body into pieces.
    Don't be Pentheus.

I'm not religious, I think ripping off limbs goes a little bit too far in these modern times, but I do feel a strong urge to smash people their cameras to pieces at least. Let people be free, save your memories in your heart, not on a chip. Why is it so hard for people to respect privacy, and privacy laws (yes, EU prohibits photographing and filming without consent when you want to post it online).
Next year I'll bring a water gun and spray 'holy' water on any camera I see :p When people feel they have the right to photograph and film wherever they are, anyone they see, I feel the same way with spraying water haha

      "heretical"... Give us a break.
I get your point of not obviously filming people that are on drugs or people that want to be left alone.
But there's nothing wrong with filming parts of this festival for everyone to enjoy later as a souvenir.
I would miss not having any videos or photos of some experiences in my life, festivals included.

@@Mussi93 I like them too, but you have to make choices. Can't have it all. If you have cameras in the dance temple you'll have souvenirs but the real experience for everyone suffers greatly, it kills the mystery, it makes people who are not there have eyes in there, the feeling of sacredness when dancing goes totally off.

People are there dancing, feeling free because they don't have to worry about the outside world. This includes being filmed or being showed to the outside world. You shouldn't post videos where people can be recognized. Please take this video down. Keep memories in your heart, not on a chip. There are people completely / partially naked, filming them is not ok.

      dont worry

I've only seen two naked people in the video. The rest are not naked. Being topless is not being naked, women have the same rights than men to don't wear t-shirts or bras.

@@Annav1990 "only two" which means 2 too many. I'm a man, I don't like to be filmed topless. Just because you find it acceptable to be filmed topless doesn't mean others feel the same way. Always ask for consent. Boom is a safe place for people to express themselves and be (partially) naked, which is beautiful. Boom isn't internet or the rest of the world. Sadly though, I would love to see the entire world to be like Boom, would for sure be much less war and suffering. So, for posting others online, naked or not, always ask for consent or blur people so they cannot be recognized.

the big tech corporations all know what we do and who we are anyways

    • @LordWiggle

@@thomas_weinreich So everyone else should see it too? What a stupid argument. We are all going to die, that isn't a reason to just kill ourselves. Because some see our info doesn't mean everyone should see it. "because medical staff can see my medical files, everyone has the right to see them". right... This how it works Thomas?
I don't understand why it is so hard for people to understand privacy, and respect privacy of others. If you don't care whether others can see you being wild and free for 7 days a year doesn't mean others feel the same. Don't project your values onto others.
I bet even you don't want everyone (family, friends, colleagues) to see how you are dancing naked on a festival, surrounded by hippies while tripping balls. While dancing naked tripping balls surrounded by awesome people with amazing music is fucking epic, especially without the worry of assholes with a camera.
If you don't understand that, you clearly don't belong there.
