They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. Leutin tells an excellent story, but imo he tends to spend too much time avoiding conflict by pre-justifying his reasoning.
Advo and Arch Warhammer has the most consistent releases, while 40K theories asks interesting questions and theorizes while doing fan made Astartes chapters. And 40 facts about 40k is just trash.

@Iron Hands Terminator all xenos are hated, noble terminator. That is given. However, unlike other chronicles discussing the vile xeno hoards, there is an extra layer of hatred for this particular breed that shines through.

First, let me say top notch narration and script. Second, I have to admit there are times my blood runs cold listening to these lore videos, as I suspect there are threads in the 40k lore that are in some manner actually true.

Considering how much his interwove with the storyline of the Necrons (in the 3rd edition at least), he seems like an odd piece of the puzzle to miss.
Very destructive war of unfathomable proportions.

Except there is no evidence of the Old One's outright creating any species. It seems they were gardeners and not Gods. They influenced life and change as they saw fit. But it doesn't appear they created anything out of whole cloth, probably because it wasn't nectary. The galaxy was fertile enough to do it all on its own.
This video came up as I'm painting Blood Angels; a coincidence? I think not!
The War in Heaven is to Warhammer what the Silmarillion is to Lord Of The Rings.

Was about to go to bed , then my phone dinged, now to smoke a bowl and enjoy my morning 40k
The one thing I find really funny is that 60 million years is more than enough time for a dozen dozen races to develop technology so far beyond the Necrons that it would be incomprehensible to them. I don't think GW really thought out just how long a gulf of time that is. Or the fact that the Orks and Eldar are still around and look exactly the same.and use the same technology as they always have? Natural evolution alone probably would have taken care of that too.
Not so sure with the Orks. They do differ quite a bit from the Krorks in mentality alone and yes, in physical features too.

As both a Tolkien and w40k fan, i find myself constantly torn between my love for my beautifully assholeish space elves, and my everlasting hatred for the alien, the witch, and the mutant.

It took me a while, and I got lost checking out paintjobs a couple of times on the way, but that's the old 3rd ed Codex: Necrons cover by Karl Kopinski

Interesting ending tone.... wasn't so upbeat and eager when it came to Tyranids, though - PS 5 sec pause between material and channel announcements would be nice ;)
Recent fluff suggests the Nercon's are not as souless as once thought. That they or at least one, has an approximation of soul. Allowing for said Nercon to achieve Warp apotheosis, at least for a time.
It is suggested that before the Necron's rebelled against the C'tan, the remaining C'tan turn on one another in frenzy not seen before. So those C'tan that remained were to powerful for the others to consume. As well the C'tan's hunger was so great they could not form alliances amongst themselves to defeat a more powerful foe. As it seems neither C'tan could be trusted not to eat everything that remained of the loser. After this final feeding frenzy of the last of the C'tan, the C'tan that survived were wearer over all than they had ever been. Which was the moment the silent king struck.
I have not kept up well on my Necron lore since 4th edition, I know the C'tan were shattered and imprisoned, but what about the Void Dragon and the Outsider? Did they still remain as the last whole C'tans? Also are the Necrons still responsible for the Pariah gene and psychic blanks in humanity?
