- Getting search and rescue crews to earthquake-ravaged Syria and Turkey has proven to be a monumental logistics challenge, but several countries are now routing teams through Istanbul.
The quakes have left thousands of people injured or homeless, and it is unknown how many survivors remain buried under destroyed buildings.
Jackson Proskow reports from Istanbul International Airport on the influx of aid workers arriving to lend a helping hand.

We are grateful for every help we get regardless of the country also I would like to add, politics aside most people in Turkey dont even know about Kashmir issue, they dont know Pakistan and India are not on good terms either. If asked they would say they like both countries, people here have no animosity against India 🙏🏻🫶🏻

its similar to how an outspace invasions of some powerful extra terrestrials would undoubtedly motivate a global non nationalistic unified response to it without exclusion or limitations or clasification of who can respond or come to whos aid.. A natural disaster has non nationalistic idealism, when it hits, the world knows it could have effected either one of them, the response to tragedy of natural proportions is the same across the world and since its cause isnt nationalistic in its cause, people can more easily emotionalize with the victims who like war tend to be women and children, elderly and poor. Its a weird thing but the truth is, these are all human inventions, ideas and cultures are like cloth. the real human truths tend to be, sacrifice, bravery, courage, sharing, those kinds of things are like core installations that cant be cultural modified if i made sense there. Dont be naaive and think that all response is humane... at times like this both the pioneers of humanity and the profiteers of modern greed arise simultaneous, Haiti was the greatest example.

I don't think that sanctions apply when it comes to a crisis of this magnitude, the rules change and although enemy countries keep their distance, there are other ways help, or neutral countries act as intermediaries

These are sanctions imposed by US government and its allies. Allies are reluctant to send help because they will face sanctions of their own. Other countries can and do help.
@@cecily3797 they do apply people can't directly donate to syria donation accounts from their countries only essential can be supplied, though major people support comes by donating money into the accounts. Which is sanctioned.
The outpouring of support was incredible. On behalf of my nation, I express gratitude to all those who provided assistance and offered prayers. Although I am not particularly devout, this type of spirit, which is the most genuine manifestation of love, and the act of aiding those who require it, is akin to divinity. It is akin to helmeted angels arriving to save the day. It is important to remember Syria, which is left with nothing. Stop all wars!
