I heard that he was not happy that he didn't do the whole dance perfectly. Right after the Moonwalk, he was on his toes, but only for a second, in his mind, it wasn't "perfectly" done. So iconic tho.

@@mrt4085the toe stand and moonwalk is supposed to be longer. He took too long with the shuffling before it. Every other Billie Jean breakdown he does both longer, he had it completely perfected in the 90s.

      @firefighterchick
😂😅 You are starting to understand my background and early years, I was a bit of groover back in the day and had a few signature moves of my own.
I had them named, the most used one was the "reverse with grace" and was based on the moon walk, after being turned down by the lady when asking her for a dance
The Body Swerve, used when the front side was not quite as good as the back side, if you get my meaning 🤣
The "Pockets inside out" when the guys are asking me to get a round in.
I'm sure MJ stole a few of my moves, as I am sure I came up with the "Smooth Criminal" lean after a few too many shots .
Glad you enjoyed that and we will be back with more Motown great and Marvin is on the list.

Ooh on the snazzy new iconic score card ❤
Isn't it strange how much MORE we appreciate things as we, ahem, mature. I mean, I've watched this more than once, and it's been a while since I last saw it, but I definitely enjoyed it more this time around. I think nostalgia plays a big part, obviously, and it's bittersweet, too, given what we now know. I like that he said he loved the first songs, but how he loved even more the 'newer' songs. It gave recognition to the earlier stuff, but was a delicious way to publicity say 'look what I can do now'. His early life was shocking. Child 'stars' rarely have it easy. 😢

Oh yes, we got artistic with the "fuzzy felts" and will be having some fun with all our new thumbnails too.
MJ was iconic and a trail blazer in many ways and you just know it's MJ and soon as you hear him.
His concerts were something else and he didn't stop dancing for the entire show.
We will be revisiting many more Motown artists as we continue our journey .
      All the best

I was more into Stevie Wonder than Jackson 5 or MJ. I've never analysed it, but I'd WAG Wonder wrote or co-wrote every song (and played most of the instruments), while MJ probably wrote about half. MJ's neighbour was dancer / actor Fred Astaire. AFAIK Astaire complemented MJ on his dancing on Motown 25 . MJ was a remarkable dancer. Stax and Chess had some important artists too; Motown wasn't the only influential label.
One of my favourites Motown songs was Stevie Wonders "Superstition". I believe Wonder gave Jeff Beck, who worked with him on Talking Books, first release, but Motown had Wonder's version out first, and sold a _lot_ of records. Yoyoka has actually done at least two drum cover of Jeff Beck's version! (by Beck, Bogert, Appice. Bogert and Appice were part of Vanilla Fudge, who you reacted to). She plays it quite differently from Wonder's version where, very weirdly, Jeff Beck played drums. (Wonder was a good drummer, and AFAIK played, or composed drums, on many of his songs).
    Bet Wishes, Chaps. ☮

Now that Colman Domingo is playing the father Joe Jackson, next we need
Halle Bailey as MJ’s little sister Janet Jackson
    Nia Long as Katherine Jackson
Jenna Ortega or Madison Pettis as LaToya Jackson
    Justice Smith as Tito Jackson
    Caleb McLaughlin as Jermaine Jackson
Riley Keough as Lisa Marie Presley, MJ’s first wife
    Julia Garner as Madonna
Viven Lyra Blair as Paris Jackson
and Sabrina Carpenter as Debbie Rowe, MJ’s 2nd wife
I still think that this musical drama biopic film should just get distributed by just Universal Pictures 🌍. Not Lionsgate for unknown reasons.
I really hope they add all of MJ’s songs like Don’t Stop Til You Get Enough, Rock With You, Billie Jean, Beat It, Thriller, I Just Can’t Stop Lovin’ You, Bad, Dirty Diana, Smooth Criminal, Man In The Mirror, Speed Demon, Give In To Me, Heal The World, Jam, Black or White, Remember The Time, Ghosts, Blood On The Dance Floor, and You Rock My World, including the ones when he was a member of the J5 when he was a kid like I Want You Back, ABC, The Love You Save, Dance Machine, Got To Be There, Ben, and when he was a teenager and was still a member of The Jacksons like Enjoy Yourself, Blame It On The Boogie, and Shake Your Body Down To The Ground.
Wish and hope that they add the scene where his hair got on fire while he was filming the Pepsi Commercials,
The scene of him filming The Wiz as Scarecrow
The scene of writing and performing “We Are The World” with the entire singers like Billy Joel, Tina Turner, Lionel Richie, Kenny Loggins, Cyndi Lauper, and Bryan Adams.
Scene during the Super Bowl halftime show,
Imagine if the film could get a 3hrs run-time, and/or get split up to part 1, 2, and/or 3, and if it’s good, it deserves a $1B or $2B Box Office.
I also wish that the film could get moved to August 2025 in time for what would’ve been the late legendary King of Pop’s 67th Birthday.
Thank you, Director Antoine Fuqua and Universal Pictures.
