Hello all. Here is my experience with the Giant Escape 2 disc City. Currently have one, bought 2 years ago. Not the fastest, but still snappy. Not the most agile because of the long wheelbase for a fitness bike, yet it is not clumsy at all. It is pretty versatile, and brakes, though some people could find them a tad underpowered, are damn good for my uses (essentially urban), and when I let people ride it, they were impressed by the brakes's strength. The only thing I could nitpick is about the comfort on cobbles, but it is in aluminium so it was something to expect. Invest on a good saddle and comfy, yet fast and puncture reinforced tyres (if you can afford tubeless ready wheels and tubeless tyres, get them), and you are set. Have all a nice ride, whichever bike you have!
