This is the first Fitbit I have used. It has some new features th-cam.com/users/postUgkxbkrje8Y7BaqRkAjimw-55ajvVo7RbcIp and I like the information that it gives me.I think the phone app could be designed to be a bit more accommodating, as it can be confusing to use. The rubber band is comfortable, and normally I do not like rubber bands for my watches, but this is comfortable.I am looking forward to seeing if this helps me stay accountable in my fitness endeavors! My only gripe is the box was very damaged when it arrived, however, the tracker is performing perfectly!

Great video! One suggestion: on the HR scatter plot, perhaps you could make the data points from the weight lifting activity a different color dot compare to the cardio activities. Or even make a separate scatter plot with just the cardio (cycling/running) activities. It seems like most of the mismatch is from weight lifting which it appears most optical wrist trackers don’t capture. Thanks!

Thank you so much, Rob! I waer a Fitbit Alta HR for several years and always have issues with my heart rate measuring (I use a Polar H10 to compare my HR while running). The measuring differs up to 25-30 higher while training which is a lot - nonetheless I am a huge Fitbit fan and your test gave me the last push to try out the Inspire 2. The Inspire has basically the same functions as my Fitbit Alta HR (could be the same internal parts in a different casing for all we know!), which I tested against the full professional sensors used on me during a sleep study and found to be remarkably accurate compared to the results of that sleep study. Of course, my comparison was basically comparing the amount of time I spent in each phase, which was roughly the same, so it wasn't nearly as detailed an analysis as Rob used in this video, but they were impressive all the same.

I had Fitbit Inspire HR which did not work any more after more than 2 years use probably because of the battery was dead after 24 hours two years continuous use. Oura ring is crazy expensive and it sucks lol
Thought about putting the inspire 2 in clip mode....turns all the features off lol.
I can't be the only person in the world that wants a sleep/health/heart tracker, who is NOT interested in wearing a smart watch, right??

What you should do next is measure metabolic rate and whether it increases using an "active chair" like the QOR360 Ariel chair, vs a standing desk, vs a normal chair. That would be a different venue you could apply this type of video study to. I think it would be cool, and straightforward to do.
