I worked in a steel and metal fabrication plant years ago that voted in a union and it didn't really make things better.. It was voted out the next year.. 😂

I believe some of this mess is a result of unions. I used to work for a state agency. It is a fact that it is hard to get someone fired for not doing their job, not showing up or just untrainable because of the union. When there is a problem employee, it is easier to promote them just to get rid of them than it is to get them fired. Suddenly, you have a set of employees in office that are incompetent at their position and now are making decisions that make no sense. To get a promotion, I had to threaten to act badly or refuse to do certain tasks like the others that were promoted, the boss told me not to and worked to get a real promotion that I earned through hard work.
Teachers union is by far the worse.
You would need to triple the power supply to the grid to sustain all those electric cars.
So, burn LOTS of coal.

This administration has made life more difficult for its citizens. Our food, rent, and electricity expenses never went down. I live in the dark with no A/C only to get groceries once a month. I'd want to see Biden try it just once to have a sense of what we're going through. We've witnessed rises across the board, with food and utilities at least twice as expensive as they were a year and a half ago. I'm worried that growing inflation may cause my whole retirement money to lose value. What else might we do with our money?
Personally, I would say have a mentor. Not sure where you will get an experienced one, but if your knowledge of the market is limited, it seems like a good bet.
Well, I recommend you make a diversification plan because it's been harder to build a good financial portfolio since COVID. My colleague suggested I hire an advisor. I did and I've actually made over $926K with my advisor's help during this market crash. She uses defensive strategies to protect my portfolio and make profits despite the ups and downs.

She has since provided entry and exit points on the securities I concentrate on. She's well-grounded and known, shouldn't be a hassle finding her page.

Cost to upgrade everyone's electric panels to 200 Amps to have the power at home to fast charge is huge. $2000-$5000 per house
I'm lucky I already have a 200 amp service and fuse box that was original to my home built almost 60 years ago. Only having electricity means higher electricity bills, but homes like mine were already set up to handle more from the start are equipped better for a change like this. I'm not for any of this "green" agenda, forced compliance not clean energy, and feel for those who may have to be forced into this process and are unable to afford it. FJB

I wonder how many miles a military tank could travel before needing a charge. Charging stations will be few and far between for them. And the EV buses--not likely.
Maybe they should check into the electrical grid there is no way it can handle all these cars charging the system well coplapes

Some places do not yet have charging stations for electric vehicles and the people I know who own one have been hit by the inconvenience of prolonged charging times.

EV battery has a 10 year warranty and weighs a ton a new replacement battery cost $20K
What this really boils down to is, we want be around for this to get problematic. Depopulation.
What do we plan to use to charge EVs? Coal, NG, nuclear, and a little bit of wind/solar that are having a lot of difficulty moving forward and have basic physics issues. We simply will never have enough battery materials, even with child slave labor in the Congo for cobalt.

Regardless of climate change, our power grid can NOT support EVs. For example, Illinois wanted to move to electric big rigs, but 30 charging stations were going to require the equivalent of an entire City. The mayor squashed the issue Quickly.

People like Kevin Hassett are ignorant. It's not CO2 that's affecting climate except to make life for plants better. CO2 is heavier than air which is composed primarily of O2 and N2. CO2 hugs the ground. Plants need the carbon in CO2 to build their tissues and they in turn release O2 for us animals to breathe. All this greenhouse business with CO2 is based upon it grtting high up in our atmosphere and creatibg sn insulating blanket. Heck water vapor H2O is nuch lighter than CO2 and has a much greater greenhouse effect. Of course were it not for water vapor we'd have no rain. Snyone who has had any basic chrmistry and biology in high school can understand this.

Technically, guys, this is a simplification of the incredibly complex machine. It's the first general reduction in parts and cost for the entire industry, including all forms of road vehicle. As such, the consumer should welcome it. But like the early days when gasoline was a boutique product sold in cans, we still haven't licked that supply issue. But as for Labor? There has never been a time when businesses and their employees were not expendable. Those times when they appeared to be - were indeed technologically backward - dinosaurs - both at the policy level and at the consumer level. It just doesn't work, and isn't preferable. The question is what to do with the displaced workers? The answer is to give them hiring preference, OTJ training allowances, for 6 months, and shove them off the dock.
