Soft baiting for the elusive 20LB snapper

Gyday everyone this is one fishing trip to remember. Ticked a fish of I had been trying to get since I started kayak fishing 8 years ago. was also a sending off for my good mate Shane. Who has moved to Australia. Going to miss you mate, well already do miss our crazy adventures fishing new waters and finding huge fish and occasionally getting a tad carried away the night before lol.
anyway, guys grab a bite to eat or a cold one and enjoy the trip.

Thanks mate 🙂 always wanted to release a 20lb if I got one hopefully he lives for many more years to come. The original plan was to jump in the water with him for the release but it was a bit cold for that 😂 next one maybe 🤔

thanks mate 😅 yeah had some hurt on it. tell yah what mate about bloody time. now for that bigger king think I told Shane I was going to catch a 40kg to beat his best. that could take a lifetime. 🤣 can't have people thinking I'm a liar though

thanks mate! over the moon with that fish long time coming. since your here mate camping expert like yourself might pick your brain what would be a not to expensive tent but also take the weather and durable. Going to do some camping from the yak and a bit of tramping fly fishing.

@@skippymac4613 from personal experience with kayak camping and wild weather . Naturehike are the best budget brand out there. I use the Mongar 2 tent. Cheap. Strong and can handle unlimited rain. Super lightweight and packs away small. The perfect tent for what you're after and won't cost heaps. Imo they're better than some big brand tents I've reviewed for companies.

Bay of plenty area mate there is heaps of little Honey holes around there mate the harder to get to the bigger the fish this one's a little secret sorry mate

@@whittakertable the rugged west coast! definitely worth a look in the bay mate. probably make a few trips to the naki over summer myself
