I've found that the arena gates and doors work really well with the Nemedian set especially when building a gate house you can have the portcullis type gate from the arena and then the regular wooden gate creating a layered effect.
They sure do! From what I am finding out, several of the new pieces work very well with a lot of the other dlc's. My favorite so far is Nemedian mixed with Yamatai.
That was both ambitious and extremely well executed. Both fun to look at and designed alongst very realistic principles.
Bravo.
The new set is so very good. The almost machicolation fence pieces and hoarding looking frames are perfect for fortifications, while the overall timber and fieldstone aesthetic fits perfectly.
You have an undeniable talent. This castle is perfect! Rp and functional, I want to live there ...
This is glorious!!! I bet you could make some cash from some of these big groups that run RP servers to get you to come and build them something like this. Amazing!

I made a massive wall around a base on official using this same technique. Foundations are so ugly, but sunken walls look great. Using the fence foundation trick to create steps allows you to work with varying levels of terrain. I wish I had made a video and uploaded before I took a break and lost it. I used several dlcs and techniques to make a very unique wall.
I take that back, I do indeed have several live streams of that base on my channel from about 10 months ago titled "Conan Exiles - lvling thralls so my base doesn't get destroyed again"
Haha. Not that you need to bother looking at that, but I was happy to find that I did stream me actually building those walls.

Great build, i built there once but the Maelstrom would blow the walls down with lightning as it deposited 3 skull bosses

It took about 10 min to get a foundational layout placed. Due to me wanting to get a video uploaded on TH-cam the day of DLC release I winged it from there to save on time haha.
@@DrB048 I thought so. But dont worry, it had interesting efect. The castles were build with original elaborated idea in mind, but they were rebuild and improved over the time of dozens and hundreds of years according to needs and wants of the owner. It was slow and kinda organical, but not thoughtless, process. You have practically simulated similar efect in few hours :)
"Big (oldest) high square building with corner towers on top of the hill, to keep me and my things save. Done. Lets build walls around next. Done. Woah, we have a free space inside of the walls now! Guards and horses are kinda noise and stinky sometimes, but i need both of them healthy and at the hand all the time. Lets build stables and guard house! Done. Since i have free space in main building, lets make it extra cozy for me ... Done. Now bridge over the ravine would be nice. Done. Little gatehouse at the end of the bridge, maybe? Done. More defensive coridors and few more exits for greater comfort.. Done." :D

Love your buildings. Do you think that maybe you can count how many pieces of each one you need and put in the description? It'd be easier to just build all the pieces at once.
Good idea, however that takes a tremendous amount of work to do. Maybe one day
@@DrB048 if I can figure it out for you, I'll post it if you don't mind. Help other people out. This building is pretty awesome but I don't have the isle of siptah so I had to improvise on how to do it. So far it's coming out pretty good..

very nice. my only issue with those wooden nemedian windows is that they limit your visibility. you can only look straight out, and not down on the ground, which makes them ineffective for archers on the battlements
Yep, a lot of the defensive pieces are more for aesthetic uses rather than practical ones.
well think of them like this too if you can't shoot out then an enemy can't shoot an arrow through the window at you as well
@@williamsearcy8981 its way harder to shoot an arrow through the window from the outside than from the inside, especially when youre getting shot at
Why do you use pillars and ceiling tiles for the base instead of foundation blocks? Awesome build!
That allows me to connect walls to the bottom of the ceilings to make the wall look like it's one solid piece of stone, rather than having that wooden base. It also allows me to run the pillars on the corner of the towers into the ground. If I used foundations it would prevent me from placing the pillars.

I appreciate it! This was all done on the day of release; building, recording, editing, and uploading. In order to speed up the process, most of this build was not planned and I winged it as I went lol.
Watching this video and thinking to myself, where have I seen this castle before... and of course that's when I realize I ran right past it the other day while hunting elephants. 🤦🏼♂️

I wish these type of games gave you an architect mode with more freedom to set a lay out first before you build in regular mode.
Agreed! maybe an option to preplace all your parts to the build and then go back in later and fill in the pieces.
@@DrB048 Yup, it's more efficient with the resources when you're already done with the creative process.
Also easier to coordinate with friends since they know exactly what and where to place even if they aren't part of the creative process themselves.

How do I do it, without using E to quickly break/dismantle a wall or object like you do in the video?
If your in admin mode, look at the object you want to destroy and press Shift + Delete

Sorry but what is the purpose of using the ceiling tile with pillars vs using foundation blocks?
I didn't like the look of the foundations or fence foundation pieces with an outer wall. By using the ceiling and pillar pieces, this allows me to be able to snap wall pieces underneath and on top of the ceiling pieces giving it a solid wall look. Also by doing this for the towers it allows me to snap the pillar pieces to the corners of the ceiling pieces and allows me to run those pillars into the ground for support. If I were to use foundation pieces, they would prevent me from placing the pillars in the ground. Hope this helps!
How did you get the Nemedian Fence Foundation 4619 stack on top themselves? I am unable to get it to do it. Please advise.
At the time when this video was recorded you could stack fence foundations. With all the new updates I don't think its possible anymore.
@@DrB048 Thank you for responding and I decided to replace them with regular wall and it worked. You did a great job and moving on to the next one of yours.
@@DrB048 it is still possible, but it is a pain in the a** to stack them =/
When you make a very big build like this how do you manage to keep everything visible, the moment you go back to have a full view, the building start to dissolve.
I have tried everything to increase the view distance of building objects but no way. It's annoying because you build something great and big and it just starts to appear block by block when you approach.
What are you playing on?
On Pc but i have already max out every settings, i also tried to edit the ini files to increase view distance, but it works for vanilla map elements but for the building pieces the view distance is quite short.
So when you build a nice little town, when you are in it it's ok, but when you approach from a longer distance, the building parts just pop up gradually and it kills the immersion.
Frome the video i see here, i guess the builder is still in view distance.
These great structures were to be more useful in singleplayer games.
That or private servers! :)

To be honest, I have no idea. I know their was a TON of pieces used.
Why do you use floor and pillar instead of just foundation?
When it comes to making the walls and keep, I like the constant look of the stone walls vs the wooden foundations.
Is that armor a mod?
