This is stunning! I got inspiration from your Nemedian Manor video to make my own Mansion, the rooftops are a simply amazing little trick!
I love the manor design too, i upsized it and made it into a proper castle but could never get the roofs to look good.
@@MWBalls Yah I upscaled and then extremely modified it too, has four of the tower areas in the front, a giant front gate door, two actually one behind other, then added two of the clock tower parts, but the pillars underneath are not going all the way to the ground which is nice so it's not so obstructive to the other floors below. I just loove it soo much
I like the two tier roof top tower caps, if I did not already just build my own castle I 100 % would use that, nicely done.

I was thinking about all these neat tricks you've learned over the years and I wondered if you felt confident enough to tackle the odd dimensions of the Thirsk Mead Hall from Morrowind/Skyrim.
It would be a hell of an interesting build given the opposing symmetry of the foundation versus the building, especially once inside. At least for the Skyrim version. Morrowind's verion was a basic box with bee hives.
Thirsk would be a good build!
Great build. In some ways, this building has quite a lot of similarities to my family's ancestral castel. I would love to see someone recreate my family's castle some day. It's quite easy to find photos of both inside and outside the castle just by doing an image search for Orava Castle.

Do you know of a good spot for this in the Exiled Lands? I'd like a grassy area like the showcase part has. I have Isle of Sipta, but my friends currently don't. And I'm in a server with them. Btw I love your guides, they are very informative and easier to follow. Naturally I just have to slow down the video to follow better. But you start off from the beginning instead of after the foundation has already been placed. I appreciate that. 👍👏

This is a great video. Had to slow it down to 0.25 some times to work out what pieces you were using, those arena floor tiles really go with the nemedian set. Being fairly new to CE. Nemedian & stables are the only DLCs I have at the moment (until next sale). Love the castle, One question, Why do you use ceilings and pillars for the floor instead of foundations??? I've seen this a couple of times but no idea why. I can't work out the difference when I do it, but they must be some reason.
Also at the end you had stone paths through the courtyard and outside the gates, how do you do this?

Question. What emote/command is it you give the guards? Tried googling it, but no luck. ... Also, while love all the no mod builds, Would love seeing a build using my favorite mod: Age of Calamitous. I've tried my hand using tricks I learned from your videos, but wanted to see a pros work.

Why does it happen that pieces eventually misalign? geometrically if we're using the same predictable sizes of fitting pieces everywhere, shouldn't they automatically align geometrically ad infinitum? why do they always align in smaller builds and not always in larger ones? thanks in advance for replies.
It's because wedge pieces are smaller than square pieces. When building a larger castle, the angle of the wedge piece and size will offset the rest of the build the more wedge pieces you use.

In the middle of making this, at 4mins when you place the gateway....it isnt allowing me to do so, even though ive copied the exact same thing, there's pillars to support the ceilings and the foundation.....yet it says the gateway can't be place because of it not being supported
Yeah, that's because the recent update completely broke gate pieces. I too am having trouble snapping them to other pieces at the moment. The only thing I can suggest is waiting for them to re-fix the gate pieces, which hopefully will be soon.

Seems I did something wrong with the foundation. I dont end up like it should.
You're probably off by one foundation. Just being off by 1 can drastically throw off the build.
how did you build the stairs that way to put the throne on top? I tried and I can't
They are stage pieces.
Is there a blueprint out there that I missed for this build? Sometimes I have a hard time replicating speed builds because it jumps around so much
I got the blueprint on my patreon. You can also slow the video down in the youtube settings if it jumps around too fast.

When i put the pillars down in the very first step, they clip through the floors. Is there a trick you used to avoid this?

How does a build like this hold up to purges?
Depends on the level of purge, and thralls you have to defend the walls.
I have a question the stone pathways outside is it a piece in the game or a mod I can't find them

@veteris noctis You might be able to get away with just the keep portion of the build. I think adding the outer walls might send ya over the edge tho.
