I wound up putting more yahenni/carrion feeder type creatures with all the aristocrat cards in conjunction with all the ring tempts creatures … nuhnuhnuhnasty!
Been tweaking it a little… flesh-eater imp is a powerhouse! Feast of the victorious dead is game ender! Cathars crusade…!! Meathook.. dark prophecy! This build infinites on accident every time I play it… I’m about to post the list to moxfield…
After several games of this iteration… conclusion… to damn strong ! Infinite combo within 6 turns maybe/rarely 7 … smashed every deck my pod through at it without ever dealing actual combat damage… Rata with “ring tempts” creatures in an aristocrat setup is cedh all the way… Blasting station was the key standout in my last session…. I am the villain in my playgroup now… a role I embrace whole heartedly 😅
I have a question, why not play Nazgûl from the lotr set? They enter and tempt on entry causing you to chose a ring barer and if you chose the Nazgûl that become legendary. So it is a loop with the commander where they are legendary and after they enter they become legendary again.

When the copy enters the battlefield, you will be tempted by the ring, choose the copy as ring-bearer, which is now also legendary. Repeat the process for infinite mill.Edit combo infinite ETB, infinite death triggers :)
@@SvenJunior I definitely dig the flexibility of ring tempts you creatures adding a completely different direction in which to take rata… in certain pods one my opt to sub in the Nazgûl for a more straight forward combat approach… Boromir and Sam rock with rata too of course… So many play options with rata commanding!
My list isn't far from this, i have song of the worldsoul Rootborn defenses Nesting dovehawk Wake the reflections Saw in half Black market Preston the vanisher And some card draw, my idea had a populate subtheme going on woth the goal to get copies of ratadrabik, trying to work out ways to get copies of ratadrabik.
Helm of the host my guy… plus mirage mirror will serve… I run them both… Rata can run almost any play style… I have a punishing stax list! But with the ring tempts shenanigans afoot … it’s infinite combos every game… It’s so powerful it’s almost stupid… almost 😅

I’ve tested it a bit and it’s super fun! I love decks that can be updated over time and don’t rely on one single set mechanic
