Interesting. I went with more protection and evasive auras like canopy cover, alpha authority, flickering ward and such with the enchantress reducers. I like Spire Tracer or Gladecover Scout?

Slivers was one of my first thoughts to make her unblockable and draw cards. The precon is aweful without upgrades. Probably going to just disassemble it and put it towards my aesi deck.

razorfield ripper is no longer a creature when its equipped and satya only makes copys of nontoken creatures. you can make a copy of RR before you equip it but not after.

I like to use the chain veil since the commander is basically a planeswalker.

Ashnods Alter goes infinite for scions/spawns and infinite colorless mana (which can be any color mana if you put Chromatic Orrey in the deck) with Eldrazi Displacer flickering "Brood Moniter or "Emerakles Hatcher", either creates 3, and you sack 2 to Ashnods for 4 mana using 3 to flicker with displacer... infinity mana, infinite counters and infinitely big after the commanders activation. Then with any number of ways in 5 colors to give them all haste.

I like how a lot of your videos have 3-4 overall strategies/goals but when it comes to Mardu it's "put down big creature and bonk as many times as you can"

My main is Edgar Markov. I don't have a single non-vampire creature in the 99, but I'm gonna sleeve this guy up as an alternate commander I can swap in. Seems like it would still be a powerful deck

Hey mate just watching the vid and had some notes about the audio. It sounds like you may be a little far from the mic and if you do a little bit of noise reduction in something like audacity or obs it would make it a lot clearer. Cheers

Great deck tech! BTW Herald's Horn doesn't discount Ulalek. Ulalek is specifically hybrid colorless/color. Horn only discounts generic mana.

I just build a Gargos deck with a bunch of pretty strong (and sadly very expensive) cards like ozolith and khalini hydra, and I can't wait to play it 😁. I really like the theme of hydras, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of viable commanders, and Gargos seems too good to not include for a green mono hydra deck. Playing anything else besides this commander seems really hard to pull off without even more ramp or some way to cheat hydras into play. Anyway, thank you for the video, it's always interesting to see other people build their decks with the same theme/idea in mind.

Assessing the card based on its floor, playing Traverse the Outlands is nearly too close to call in the comparison of floors, but its ceiling is going to be far higher in many decks. This card does have potential in a 2-cost Mono Green, Simic or Selesnya Commander’s deck, though.

im thinking of buying this list and have a few cards I want to add so I have a couple of questions. what would you cut for a branching evolution and vorinclex monstrous raider? also do you think because the deck is more creature based it would be optimal to run cards like llanowar elves, elvish mystic, fyndhorn elves over some of the cards like cultivate, farseek etc?

Forth Eorlingas! may not be the most efficient card in the deck, but I always love adding a Monarch card into a deck. It's a fun mechanic to introduce to a game even if you CAN'T defend it. But you can definitely defend it or recapture reliably here

We Ride at Dawn is very sneaky in this deck. I don't think most opponents will notice it until you cast your commander for free that first time

So ironically I am JUST about to start building Karlov (I built Brimaz but it honestly ended up being kinda boring so I think I’m gonna swap it), but I’m genuinely curious if Karlov or Sorin would be better as the commander and if so what differences would be in the deck? I feel like 90% of what’s shown here could easily be in the 99 or Karlov too, but I’m struggling to figure out a list :(

I think that you can copy kozilek for draw the double at the moment that you copy it you have less than 7 cards

It's also pretty good cuz can phase out your commander at the opponent's endstep and have a strong ETB trigger for 2 mana

Just found your channel, xenagos is my pet deck and I have played it for years. I have some extra combats, I don’t play the infinite ones or Kiki but I do lean more heavy on double powers… as well as trying to only play creatures with trample or flying.

Isnt this card mono green? Is it legal to have it as commander and put black cards in?

Great video! I started playing Ellivere and a big issue I have is that I become too strong too fast and often get targetted/boardwiped and can't rebuild afterward. What is your strategy about this kind of situation?
