Today we explore the notorious Hunters Point District in San Francisco, California. An area thats changing fast but, is plagued with the reputation of the gang warfare that took place in the late 80's and early 90's. A subscribers suggested that this area was sketch and should be avoided. So, yesterday I attached the GoPro to my escooter and headed to the hood looking for action.
I realize now after passing through, that the reputation of the area is far worse than the reality. There was an isolated and strange emotion that came over me when going down Third Street. I don't know if was the lack of density that spooked me or all the warnings from people replaying in my head. I can say, compared to the Tenderloin District, this area seemed tame.

Union Square:
Union Square is a 2.6-acre public plaza bordered by Geary, Powell, Post and Stockton Streets in downtown San Francisco, California. "Union Square" also refers to the central shopping, hotel, and theater district that surrounds the plaza for several blocks.[citation needed] The area got its name because it was once used for Thomas Starr King rallies and support for the Union Army during the American Civil War, earning its designation as a California Historical Landmark. Grand hotels and small inns, as well as repertory, off-Broadway, and single-act theaters also contribute to the area's dynamic, 24-hour character. The Dewey Monument is at the center of Union Square. It is a statue of Nike, the ancient Greek goddess of victory

It is also the oldest and largest of the four notable Chinese enclaves within San Francisco. North Beach (Little Italy)
Lombard Street's west end is at Presidio Boulevard inside The Presidio; it then heads east through the Cow Hollow neighborhood. For 12 blocks, between Broderick Street and Van Ness Avenue, it is an arterial road that is co-signed as U.S. Route 101. Lombard Street continues through the Russian Hill neighborhood and to the Telegraph Hill neighborhood. At Telegraph Hill it turns south, becoming Telegraph Hill Boulevard to Pioneer Park and Coit Tower. Lombard Street starts again at Winthrop Street and ends at The Embarcadero as a collector road.

Tenderloin District
Be aware of your surroundings when passing through the Tenderloin District, this is one of San Francisco's most dangerous neighborhood's. First tagged with the name "Tenderloin" because of its similarity to a New York neighborhood that was regarded as a choice assignment for corrupt cops, San Francisco's Tenderloin is a forty-block section of downtown that is home to some 20,000+ people. It is San Francisco's most diverse and unusual neighborhood, and also one of its poorest.

This video is also about the Bay view. The Point is very different from Bay view. The weather here is better than it is in the Sunset or Richmond. But the proximity of Butcher Town and its odious smells historically prevented gentrification.

You're onto something. You are like charliebo313 Escooter Edition. His whole channel is about driving around high crime neighborhoods. Your whole channel could be about escootering such hoods. Escootering offers a distinctively different perspective and lets you go where cars cant

There actually is a legitimate RV park in the Bayview off of Gillman st. It is at the end there by the old Candlestick. It has been there for quite some time. We have a customer that has lived there since before the pandemic. She said she paid $1700 a month for parking and hook ups! Even Legit RV life in SF is expensive!!

That starts across the street from my former office at SFPUC Bayview Plaza. The Pizza pizza place at 1:25 is sweet. I quit city work last August due to corruption disgust. The interim management now is even worse I hear from left-behinders. Left south of the boarder. Don’t miss the mayhem. Nice video though.
I'm retired City Employee, and you're right! the whole City Gov't is now corrupt and deplorable. Civil Service is not what it use to be.

Gangs don't generally just jump people for no reason believe it or not they actually do make the area they are in safer just don't eff with em seriously I'd you are ever in real danger from idiots the safest place to be is near the local gangs or homeless encampment those are the only people who really care about its community police will just enforce the law after someone murders you gangs or homeless people will actually protect you
