Try looking up "metallic Sophie snare tutorial" which is pretty close to the sound you're looking for There's a channel called @dnksaus that has a really good one
Hey dude Imma be real with you. The sounds dope and pretty close but I gotta say it's pretty hard to actually follow your tutorial. Maybe try to structure them a little bit more before recording so you don't go on tangients and maybe start with a clear patch and actually built the sound. It's all like little details and minor stuff so it's hard to give to specific examples I just found myself struggeling to follow and maybe that's a skill issue on my part or I'm just not using the right sample but I'm barely managing to actually get close to what you are doing. -write out an actual skript -give the specific values for all inputs. -built from the start so we don't get information overload and can follow step by step. -really focus on the information that is relevant to the video. Again the actual sound is impressively close and it's not like you did a terrible job but maybe I could give you a couple pointers to improve. All love.
@@SlimeCinema the speed isn't the issue. I'm suggesting to streamline the actual content and strip it of the fat you don't need if that makes sense. It's not that the information is to dense or comes to quick it's the it at least to me seems a bit to cluttered and not thought out fully if that makes sense. Again this is criticism on a high level I'm not saying you did a terrible job. More that if I had to pick some point you could improve on it would be that.
I hear you, I just wanted to kinda justify why I can't. I would love too but the time cost (which I used to do) doesn't justify the effort. Hopefully I can improve without scripting. Also I would recommend not really trying to get the exact sound but instead just getting close and picking up the concepts and tricks. Copying settings exactly won't help as much as identifying the difference in feeling a step adds to a sound. Hopefully I'm not being a dick because I really do remember the frustration of following a tutorial that isn't clear enough.
@@SlimeCinema You're not being a dick at all, the opposite actually. I totally get where you are coming from. Especially if you run your channel to make money of it there is always a business side I obviously don't see and the algorithm is a pain in the ass anyway. Also yes totally agree on the "don't copy exactly" but idk I'm having a hard time getting the crips metallic overtons especially on the sustain. Anyways thank you for listening and your thoughtful response. Wish you the best.
"ott, soo, multiband compression. I know this isnt really called ott but I just call it ott in my tutorials because it's the quickest way to say it" is way longer than just saying "multiband compressor" 😅
sophie was a genius

When I first started doing these I used to do that but the people and algorithm seem to favor speed over everything, therefore I go fast 🏎️🏎️🏎️
