Yes it is fixed. Shitty singers always get through to the finals because they are 'funny' and some genuinely talented singers don't get through. It used to be good but now it's awful.

She didn't sing the song any higher, she just has a lighter tone than Taylor in that song. It was pretty dang good for being classically trained because it does make singing pop songs way harder!
