    Those are some nice and creative stands. Maybe you should make a video of you making one from scratch. Thanks for the video!

      Kyle Jackson Thanks! A lot of the DC figures in my collection were bought loose from local comic shops and eBay. I got lucky and found a few hard to find ones, but there's still a bunch I'm missing.

      @@OGTrilogy I agree this is old - compared to now when I am commenting - I bet if I tried to get some of these figures they would be way too expensive. I only got into collecting in the last year, so I am stuck with whats coming out now, unless I want to pay out the Ying Yang.
      if you happen to see this, where did that "Mesh metal / chain link fence looking material" come from? I need some :-)

    Wow, you did a really great job on your flight stands. Now I have some ideas how to make my 3 kg-Thor (somewhat) fly. Some experimentation will be necessary though...anyways, thanks for your ideas. I hope you are okay when I borrow some?

    • @OGTrilogy
      @OGTrilogy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, you bet! That's part of the reason why I made the video, so other people could make their own flight stands. Which Thor figure are you talking about?

    • @SandraOrtmann1976
      @SandraOrtmann1976 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I have a little BJD (ball-jointed doll) collection of some Marvel characters. There is an Iron man, a Thor, Captain America and a Hawkeye. Two of them can fly, the other two are good at jumping. That means about 2.3 kgs per figure have to be held up in the air (they are made of resin. So not really heavy, but each 70 cm tall). And I want an individual diorama base for each of them. So I will re-use some of your ideas.

  • @ianr94
    @ianr94 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    thanks ,really good ideas for bases if i can just work out how to fix hot toys iron man 1/6th scale on to them.

    How would you make an ice slide for iceman 6” figure?

    Where do you get the stone/brick pieces?

  • @Mark_Knight

    How do you glue the gravel?

    • @OGTrilogy
      @OGTrilogy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark M I put the glue on the figure stand and then set it in a small plastic dish like you use for leftovers in the fridge. Then I just pour the aquarium gravel on top if the figures stand. You can dump on a bunch and pack it down a little too. Then I just lift up the figure stand and shake the excess aquarium gravel off. It's a little messy, but not too bad.

    • @Mark_Knight
      @Mark_Knight 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Any specific glue? Do I use crazy glue, Elmers or...what glue will hold the gravel to the stand? Thanks again

  • @gabesam1145

    Im a little confused, how did the figure sit on top on the wire?

    • @OGTrilogy
      @OGTrilogy  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gabriel Samson it's mostly just gravity. I stick the end of the wire in between the figure's back and cape, in the diaphragm joint, in between the figure's waist and belt, in between the back of the figure's head and their hair and sometimes I just use a clear plastic rubber band.
