I’m loving this cemetery. So much character. Absolutely Beautiful headstones, iron fences and birch trees growing at random throughout. It’s hauntingly serene.

I have always liked looking at the real old graves like from the 1800's and early 1900's so it was very cool to see the abandoned cemetery in Colorado video. One of the graves u stopped at was a mother and her 3 children that died in the 1800's . They probably all died from some kind of illness. Back then they didn't have the medical treatments that we have today. Your videos are great. Keep them coming.

Thank you Lamont for another fine cemetery video. These unkept cemeteries always depress me, as I feel the dearly departed deserve better than that. I also wish there were more people like you and I, who would be willing to fix broken headstones, not for financial gain, but simply because it is the right thing to do. Good luck with your travels friend and stay safe.
These places just go to show that no matter how fancy your gravesite may be and the money spent to lay you to rest there the laws of nature and weather can remove all traces of your existence over time. Years and years ago (early 90s) when I lived in Denver, we took a drive to Georgetown and decided to look around that same cemetery. There are a lot of children’s graves and many sunken graves. It was so full that it was difficult not to accidentally step on someone or break an ankle. The sun was going down. If you think it’s creepy during the day, you should see it at night. Back in the early 1900 and the last half of the 1800, Georgetown was a mining town that probably had one doctor and one or two midwives, if that. With the high elevation, the winters were probably devastating. Without vaccines(measles, polio, etc.), pre & postnatal care, surgical procedures (something that is commonplace now was deadly then, ie., appendicitis).
Great to hear from you again, it is so peaceful walking around a cemetery. It looked very cold out there. Thank you for showing the respect picking up those edgeing stones around that ladies grave. You are a true gentleman. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🇬🇧
That cemetery is an absolute disgrace how could they leave it to get like that why wouldn't they do something with it especially when there is still people being buried there There is one thing for sure nobody related to me would to be going there as their last resting place it's a very depressing looking place wow Thanks Lamont x
Colorado has a lot of really old cemetaries. This one is in the mountains and relies on natural resources for water. All it would take is 1 wildfire and it will be destroyed. The cemetaries in the city are well maintained.
It's a beautiful cemetary. Lamont failed on all levels. First he tells all of its location (vandalism) then he doesn't show the whole thing. It goes way back in the trees. The cemetary has NEVER been moved nor bodies. It has a gorgeous mtn view!

7:20 It was just a fact of life up until 20th century medicine began taking effect that lots of children died very young in those days of maladies that today would have been easily survivable, but with their scant palliatives were not. Even if it was common place, I'm sure it must have been traumatic for the mother, especially with no medication to help her deal with the loss.
