As per BCI Rule 49, a full time employee cannot continue to hold Indian Bar registration and must notify and surrender advocate enrollment certificate to Bar council where registered in India. So, dual licence i.e. while employed in a law firm in canada and simultaneously holding Indian licence to practice in in India is illegal as per BCI Rules. If enrollment certificate is not surrenderd and anyone complains to BCI, one has to loose the registration on permanent basis. So, better to surrender and can be revoked at anytime on arrival India when intend to practice only in India. Please bring this fact to the foreign settled Indian lawyers, who still hold Indian bar council registration.
Sir, I want to ask you some questions. My first question is that suppose I clear the NCA exam, then phir me kya karu?? Kya karna hoga mujhe My second question is, it is necessary to take the Canadian Bar exam there? My third question is, for how many years is the validity of NCA certificate? And if there is any validity, then what should I do. Will I have to give the NCA exam again? Please answer
Hello. I have a question: I am a permanent resident of Canada, I have a master of Law from my home country and a lawyer certificate, but I have never practiced lawyer profition in my country, can I pass the NCA exams directly, or do I have to study the five subjects :( criminal law, Administrative law, Constitutional law..) in canadian law universty .. And after obtaining the certificate of the NCA, I apply directly to the Bar Association, and the bar assoction chooses for me a director of training for a period of one year, or what are the procedures and stages that I must pass? thank you.
