I love that, and it’s much smaller than I imagined. My servants would just have to be happy they had a good paying job in such a fine house.
I like the actual bells activated by a pull that are depicted at the start of at least some seasons of Downton Abbey. Individual bells are far less unpleasant than what is essentially a dampened burglar alarm.
I can't stand the narrator's lisp, but this series really is interesting!
