2:20 - I personally like to start my CAT control rigs using the Bip01 preset. Also, I use CAT exclusively as a control rig, which will manipulate standard bones. I keep both the bone skeleton rig and the CAT control rig entirely separated by linking bones to the rig objects using Position & Orientation constraints.

What's the advantages of using regular bones and cat as control over just using catbones ?

@@FloStyle_ I find it to be much cleaner for game engine export, and it allows to have a more "universal", control-rig-less model that you can export easily to other 3D software as well. CAT's special controllers don't always play super well when exported as if they were bones. They work great for DRIVING regular bones though! (all you gotta do is tick "bake animation" in FBX export)

I'm having trouble with my rig. I want to match the unreal mannequin skeleton, but the orientation keeps popping. I tried aligning, but it keeps popping off when I align another joint. Help! 😅

I like your chanel a lot. Just to mention that UE4 and Unity 2019 do not need root bone anymore.
