Superb video. I was thinking capacitor in the first few minutes. What s wonderful way to get so many things across. I understand so much more now I can visualise this, as no one knows what it looks like. This has fixed it for me. Cheers for the knowledge
I have one of these but it is supposed to run on a 12v 1.5 amp DC wall wart. I discovered that over powering it does actually crank it up. I used a 3.5amp 19.2v laptop power supply and WOW if you leave a small gap between the glass and your finger it will arc and burn you. You can also do the same thing with the normal power supply and a piece of foil. Just put the foil on top and then put your finger next to it. Of course I don't recommend it but I was surprised to see that more power in made it put more power out. EDIT: I did not watch the full video before posting this comment. Cool to see you knew about the foil trick.
Awesome video has always. Does my heart good to see your subscriber number count climbing. Has always Liked,Shared and added to playlists. All my best. Bobby
👉🏻 In Tesla’s 1899-2000 Colorado Spring notes he describes balls of light floating around his lab. Tesla’s notes go on to say that he needs to investigate it further at a later date, but sadly he never did. Where as plasma balls don’t float around in a room, where as ball lightning (balls of light) do. I created my first balls of light in the late 80s.
i have one with it hv transformer dead so no plasma, so i bought a another ignition coil of my bike & made a oscillator using 555 & 3A driver npn transistor & it works better than the original more arc filaments present.
actually yes, because of the current on the outside of the ball connecting to your hand produces O3, that's why you need to be in a well ventilated area.
Nice, I could spend ours experimenting with one of these... and I have lol Try placing an ordinary clear light bulb close to the ball/globe, the argon that is back filled into most lamps will emit a violet glow Haven't tried this one yet, but it does work with Tesla coils: Create a *S* shaped spinner atop the foil hat with a bit of clay and a needle pointing up (or some sort of stand). The S shaped spinner will need to have a dimple placed so as to be balanced on the needle... Power it on and it will or should begin to rotate. The spinner could be crafted out of tin foil or a wire depending on ones resources. This may take some experimentation and any friction needs to be overcome. A light push may be required
I thought an ordinary incandescent lamp was only a vacuum. I may have to try it. I wish I still had the Tesla coil I made. I sold it years ago when I was moving. I could have made a few great videos with it. 12" sparks. :-)
The argon being inert helps protect the filament from corrosion, but yes a vacuum is drawn prior to the argon going in. There is still a tiny amount of "air" or oxygen left that the argon keeps at bay.The effect of the plasma ball on a light bulb isn't that impressive, but it is noteworthy. The neon lamp can detect DC verses AC simply by the glow around the electrode, if both electrodes have the glow it is detecting AC, if only one is glowing it is DC
Just found your channel on Crowders channel. New sub
Great to hear! Be sure to check out my "Dental" related videos. :-)
Super good video!
Glad you think so!

Glad you liked the video Dean!
this brings back memories. about 23 years ago I had one of these and even discovered that I could get shocked by using the foil.
You got a knack for making good videos.
Thank You! Nice to hear. Please be sure to share my channel with others, and rate thumbs up.

Thanks Bob!
Thanks for explaining how they work

Another Great Video Thank You For Sharing Your Knowledge
Thanks!
What is caught in finger and laight formed near by plasmaball what is this?
Nice work .Thank you...!
Thanks!

does this make ozone gas? because when i heaved it give off a metallic smell or someting
No, because the globe is filled with a noble gas.

TheShadowlin EXTREMELY small amounts of O3 are created. No noticeable odor.
I am building a Propel-able, Relatively Impermeable Plasma Barrier using interleaved cone coils, and Tubular Linear Induction Motors.
sir..gud evening..can u make a 9v Bedini fan a free energy circuit?..
No, free energy is a stupid BS fairytale that serves as a red flag identifying anyone who has no idea how the universe works.

Yes, I know about the neon lamp electrodes. :-)
thanks man!
You're welcome Brendan
what would happen if the glass was off?
See just a blue spark and if you touched it, you'd get a very nasty shock.
electronicsNmore noted lol
Cool, you have now discovered the tesla coil wireless charge tower :-)
Will it disturb a WiFi network at home? Or the neighbour's?
No it could.
I can't think what if the glass of it is broken
I do not think you should use this anywhere near a laptop or pc.?
As long as the computer isn't right up against it, you'll be fine.
Thumbs up :)
