@@ananoer5545 *Simple Economics* Let me unpack it for you. *Blue states* are the EXPENSIVE STATES i.e. Seattle, San Francisco, New York etc the coastal places. The medium home prices are higher than most *red states* i.e. Arizona, state we're discussing. The vast majority of residence moving into Arizona are mostly residence relocating from *blue states* These residence are looking to $ave money. The residence who are moving into Arizona doesn't hold the same political views. This shift could possibly *UNIFY* the country. I will use myself as an example. I'm a *Democrat* I vote as such, all across the board. Yet, I live in Arizona, currently a *red state* I moved from a Republican state (TEXAS) to another Republican state (ARIZONA) sixteen years ago. I'm a business grad of Texas Women's University. I didn't relocate to Arizona due to how reasonable is was to live here. I relocated strictly due to business which had a high profit margin in the state, the cost of living was a plus. With that said, It's inevitable, within 10 years Arizona as well as my birth state will go from *red to blue* if not, definitely a swing state. Within 20 years the majority of the US population will be all *people of color* Mostly DEMOCRATS. In my Same Cooke's voice *A Change Is Gonna Come* whether you're for it or not.

@@socialbutterfly5694 They have been preaching that for years at colleges and universities. I think unless Democrats do something drastic during a brokered convention when, once again they steal the nomination away from Bernie again! I think there's a whole lot of American's tired of all of their games and destruction of America for profit. I've lived in Arizona for over 40 years. Its an evil plan as far as I'm concerned. Think about it, if we are all mixing eventually to where everyone is the same genetically over time, it's makes it easier to wipe out a race with one virus. It makes zero sense. To keep regions of the world regionalized into nations with botders where different races are clustered and only some intermingling occurs makes much more sense to the strength of a species from making themselves extinct in one world wide event with no cure or very low survival rate. Let's all be one is to our own detriment over a very short time. Genetic variety insures our survival So why do they push this? Why war and displacement? To intermingle All DNA. Stupid! We really are stupid species. They want to improve upon, like Elon Musks Nuro- link and the tech these people are rolling out. Enhanced human robots is what they are working on. When does it stop? How far are they going to get with thier One World Order, One human DNA. We were creaded differently for a reason. To keep us genetically strong. Noah did thank God. The bible tells the story of where we are at in History once again. Will we ever learn? I pray so. It is not about left or right, it is about right and wrong. There have been borders since the begining of history! Maybe for a damn good reason.

I moved from Chandler 2 yrs ago. I lived in Reflections apt complex on Kyrene in between Ray and Chandler Blvd. When I first moved there I got the small 2 BR for $900 a month. I stayed in that apt from November of 2013 to March 2014. I then moved into a 3 BR cuz my daughter and grandsons were gonna stay with me. It was a gorgeous apt, I gotta say that. At first it was $1300. I lived there until October 2015. After my daughter got her house I moved back into a 2 BR cuz the rent was going up to $1500. The second 2 BR I got had a “courtyard view”, so the rent was $1150. I ended up moving to E Mesa (ugh!) in October of 2017 cuz the rent on the 2BR was going up AGAIN to $1400. However, if it wasn’t for the high ass rent, W Chandler and Ahwatukee are my favorite places in AZ (which isn’t saying much since out of all the states I’ve lived in, AZ is second from the bottom. I’d have to say KS was the worst). I moved here when my grandsons were little and needed the stability I was able to provide them. Now that they’re gonna be graduating HS soon, it’s time for me to move back to Detroit.....

I've lived in Ahwatukee, Avondale and Downtown Chandler. Its more expensive here for sure. There are two big reasons why I like Downtown Chandler.
    1. Close to my work, 10min drive in rush hour traffic, only way to beat that is to work from home!
    2. Living downtown let's me walk to the bars, restaurants and shops (I drink!) A DUI is ridiculous here in AZ. Walking let's me drink and keeps my chances of a DUI at 0%.
I spend $1600 for a 1500 sqft townhouse that I purchased. You can get 2000 plus sqft a little further out for that price but for me living here is worth the bucks.

So many housing developments constantly going up it's looking and feeling crowded and cost of housing is going up along with it. I plan to hopefully move out to Gilbert in hopes that it won't get crowded. Also that stretch of az ave that you were on is very sketchy but it's a work in progress.

I moved to Chandler in 2006 and it has definitely gotten more crowded since then. Large corporations and companies are setting up their customer service centers here in Chandler because there’s still a lot of rural land where they can actually built their buildings from the ground, up! And, Arizona doesn’t have major weather like in other parts of the country. I’ve worked for call centers here in Chandler where other call center’s for the same company, had to temporarily close because of weather. The new apartments being build are too expensive and cater to executives of the large companies coming into town. And that makes older complexes raise their prices too. The criminal element and illegal drug use has definitely taken over the city as well. I loved it when I first moved here 14 years ago. Not so much anymore. I will be leaving the valley in the next few months.

I work for a call center and agree that the valley is call center central. I moved to Chandler in 2013 & stayed in the same apartment 10 years. The service declined and price went up from $750 - $1600 for the same unit without upgrades. I left the valley where it's quieter like Chandler was and pay $1200 for a 2 bed 2 bath built in 2022. I miss what Chandler had to offer before the price increases and population growth. I don't know how people at call centers are affording to live in the valley anymore.

Cost of living here in Chandler has gone up exponentially since 2013 or so. A 2000~ sq ft home in the area cost anywhere from $215k-$230k 6-7 years ago, those same homes are now on the market for $350k+. Apartments that used to be 900/month are now 1100/mo. It's a great area and as some have previously said in the comments already, the only people calling anywhere in Chandler "ghetto" have simply just not experienced living among other cultures.

I've lived in Chandler before the Chandler Mall and before the express way was built. People keep moving hereeeeeee! I had cows as neighbors and now I have rude people from other states. My house is paid off because it was only $96,000 when I purchased it. Now it's worth about $320,000. The reason for the high home prices is people coming from all over to live here because $300,000 is a steal for someone coming from NY or Cali. During the winter when the snowbirds arrive the golf course snub the people who support them during the scorching summer months by upping the green fees for a round of golf!

But nope your privilege wants me to THANK YOU LOL!!!!! You drove up the prices on the homes now the people living here can't afford a home that's gone up triple the price with bidding wars. I'm Disabled, a Veteran, and have been homeless for two years. I'm not a drug addict, just lost my housing two years ago when the apartment complex I was living at in Mesa Arizona was sold to a buyer in Toronto, who promptly notified the tenants living with Section 8 or VASH assistance they had the option to move out or pay full market value rent without assistance.
I found while looking for a place to move to, that most low income housing in my area was eliminated in this same fashion by greedy investors and was unavailable to find another place to live.
I bought an old van on payments and was forced to start living in it. I did so for a year and was offered a tiny fiberglass trailer on payments. I found that the person I bought it from had mislead me on a clear title, and have had difficulty getting it registered and legal to tow. I have been stranded at a Recreation Area, above Kingman Arizona for seven months now trying to get repairs done to my van. It is no longer safe to drive, and definitely not suitable to tow my trailer. It has been a living hell, upto 128 degrees at times this summer, now dealing with freezing cold at night and heavy winds. Every time I try to get some repairs made, something comes up. I bought a used generator which failed in a couple weeks, had to buy another one, then my emotional support dog Archie was badly bitten and required veterinary care, my air conditioning compressor failed in my Van, I cut my knuckle to the bone and ligaments on some glass discarding some trash which resulted in an Emergency Room Visit.
I have been trying to get help, and have not had much success. I was accepted for PATH Rapid Rehousing through the Catholic Charities, but have searched all over Mohave County but found I cannot afford an apartment on my disability income. I have been looking for a room for rent, but no luck.
So now I'm in a panic as I was notified by the Catholic Charities Caseworker handling my information, had their computer stolen and now my personal information has been compromised.
I am on a waiting list for Section 8, basically started over. I did not choose to be in this homeless situation, and have been doing my best to deal with everything I have experienced the past 2 years. I had to literally give everything I owned away when I lost my apartment EVERYTHING!, I did try and keep my many tools, but those to were lost to a "friend" who was going but keep them until I get settled, but would never respond to my calls or texts.
I am absolutely sick of my life. I don't live anymore, I merely exist, and it's not much of an existence at that. I have not showered in nearly 8 months, and haven't bathed in over two years since losing my apartment. My teeth are broken, many missing, and I broke another one recently, not looking forward to the toothache that's coming. I am nearly blind in one eye and can only see clearly with glasses, but I lost one of the lenses. I have reached out to every VA organization or service center I know of for help, but am ineligible.
I worked for the Air Force starting my senior year of high school, as a civilian employee and for the next decade.
I also simultaneously served 6 years in the Air National Guard, and was honorably discharged, but still don't meet the requirements as I was on active duty for well over a year with Avionics Technical School, and was activated during Desert Storm, but could not deploy with my unit, as I was a 3 level technician straight out of school.
I have no family for support, no friends, only a few people I have met while being homeless. I have had a fellow vet brings some water bottles and food items several months back, and just today was given a propane tank, heavy sleeping bag, and nice winter coat by Catholic charities, these were definitely a blessing and will definitely help, but I don't see how I can ever get out of my situation as my limited income doesn't suffice to handle the many needs I currently have trying to get out of my homeless situation along with handling my major dental problems, lack now of a safe vehicle, and trailer registration.
Any day the area I am staying may be closed, the BLM Rangers have told me they plan to close access to this Recreation Area soon. I will be in an Emergency Situation when they do, and have no idea yet what I will do.

I have been living in Chandler for Sixteen Years *(16 years, in one zip code 85225)* both my daughters Graduated IB from Chandler High School, 2010 and 2016. True facts, there are a few less desirable areas slightly South of Downtown and on Ray Road mostly between Alma School Rd. and Arizona Ave. Also East of Downtown from Ray Rd. down to Pecos Rd. The Apartment/Projects you were walking through are Government Section 8 housing for Low income families. There are several low Income Complexes all within a five miles radius. I'm a local residence who was elated our Downtown area was finally being revamped with new businesses coming in, beautiful constructions, etc. Some of you may disagree with the following statement and or, are accustom to living amongst dilapidated structures and that's okay. But! I have always disliked the less desirable South end of Downtown Chandler, i.e the old ran down dated businesses, livable shacks, and trailers which detract from the beautiful City of Chandler which I love, the very reason why I've never live in any other part of the valley. The area will succumb to being gentrified to improve the over all aesthetics of Downtown. Correction though. There are no longer any reasonable Apartments in Chandler as there once were, all due to the influx of people moving in, *in DROVES* especially 1.Californians, 2.The Midwestern States and so on. Due to the rising cost of homes, shortages due to the influx moving in, living expenses etc. The cost of living in Arizona has become more expensive than in 56% of cities in North America. Arizona once had a reputation for being an affordable place to live (The rise in population speaks for itself), But that's no longer the case. Drive around and take a look at the increased homeless population it's *UNBELIEVABLE* In all the years I've lived here. I would see a homeless person here and there, wasn't really noticeable. I have never seen it this bad. The new over priced Housing Development you toured. I too took a look, just to see what was being built near my neighborhood. My daughter and I were just saying, we're going to miss seeing the horses that used to graze the filed that's no longer there :( Let me digress.
